West of the Rhine between Düsseldorf and the Dutch border is Mönchengladbach. This town is home to one of Germany's greatest soccer clubs, Borussia Mönchengladbach. As this part of Germany was settled during the Neolithic and Bronze ages, a good museum for relics from these time periods is the Museum im Wasserturm Rheindahlen.
