Not a standard bed and breakfast, but a 'do it yourself' continental in your room, but you won't go hungry - 2 croissants each, cereal packs, plenty of fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, butter, jam, milk in a small fridge and a little table and chairs. We had the smallest Harbour Suite, the larger ones have better views and facilities, but that is reflected in the price. It suited us fine as we were in Minehead to deal with some matters and had to be out early in the morning anyway.
Be aware you need a door and room code to get into the building and collect your key - if booking through Expedia, you probably won't be given the code, so I contacted the owner by e-mail and he sent it to me. He lives in the building, but in a separate part, but he came and found us and was very warm and welcoming. We did have a plumbing issue (to put it mildly!) but Justin was on to it straight away and offered us another room if it could not be fixed, so I don't criticise him for that. My only little moan is that I would like to be able to watch tv in bed, but the tv was on the wall to our right. I think the room could have been designed so that it was on the opposite wall, but that is only a minor matter. Very comfy, well furnished and would not hesitate to book again.
Stayed for 2 nights over bank holiday to visit Dunster Castle (just up the road) and a couple of other National Trust properties, as well as a long walk along Minehead sea front which was just a couple of minutes up the road.

Situated in an attractive tree lined road, this Edwardian terraced house is only a few minutes level walk from both Minehead …More
This stay was a mid week couple of days, the hotel is on the high street very central and has it's own car park although the entrance is a challenge to the nervous system if you have a big car.
Dunster is a pleasant market town with a butter cross and a castle sll within walking distance , the high street has a good mix of shops from second hand books, tea shops and fine dinning.
parking can be problematic as it is high on the tourist trail and is only 3 mile from the sea.
this is a great area to tourer a specially out of season.
We stayed two nights in this very pleasant farmhouse, where we were made to feel extremely welcome. The breakfasts were individually cooked to our requirements and served in a pleasant dinning room. The hostess recommended various places for an evening meal; of these we chose "The Valiant Soldier", Having negotiated the narrow lane we had an excellent meal in a small friendly pub.
