We originally had a room where the heater didn't work and the staff quickly moved us to a new room. On reflection this was a good thing anyway as the initial room was in a cold area of the hotel and the room did not have any type of secondary/double-glazing.
The breakfast was part of the price and was also very generous.
I've given a 4 for the condition and upkeep of the hotel because the initial room we were offered would have been in a very cold area of the hotel but the rest of the hotel looked ok. We were staying in December so this would have made quite a difference had we not had a reason to change room.
(For reference we were first offered room 16 and I think 15 was next door. We stayed in 23.)

We stayed two nights and slept well in a comfortable double bed. There was lashings of hot water and any kind of breakfast you wanted. I stuck with my continental breakfast and my partner had a traditional cooked breakfast. Our host was charming, friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a "De Lux" 2 bed apartment for four nights whilst our son settle in to new accommodation in MK. Positive points; spacious, reasonably comfortable accommodation, Sky TV, convenient for main shopping area and local restaurants and secure underground parking. Negative points; the bed was a basic quality and a little lumpy, difficult to control the heating (very warm), toaster broken. Guests are provided with a "privilige card" quoting discounts at local resteraunts etc. When we produced it at the Blanc Brasserie across the road (listed on the card) we were told it wasn't the case. We were very embarrassed by the misrepresentation and the public nature of the experience.
