last minute decision to visit canterbury for the weekend, we didn't have much time to look around for hotels online so booked the abode as it seemed quite Central, and it really is in the middle of the town! Couldn't be better placed, the staff are all polite and professional, hotel is very nicely decorated with an upmarket feel, would book again if I visited canterbury in the future.

Had a very relaxing stay at this hotel and spa, the room i stayed in needed a little updating however i believe this is in the process happening as the Hotel is being refurbished. However do not let this put you off, this was very discreet and unobtrusive, the spa facilities were excellent the staff were friendly, I treated myself to two massages during my stay at very reasonable prices. The hotel is also a short stroll to a quaint little town and the beach. Highly recommended and would stay here again.
Every staff member whatever their role acknowledged us with a smile. The breakfast was fantastic and the lobby was lovely for sitting and chatting, with different open fires in different cubby holes. The room was spotless and the bed seriously comfortable. We had a brilliant night's sleep even though I can be insomniac, and there were many Christmas functions going on in the hotel that night.
We both really enjoyed our stay at the Ship & Trades (brewery hotel). Room 1 was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is taken in the restaurant with great views across the marina. The breakfast was really tasty with the thick bacon slices and a scrumptious sausage.
Staff were attentive. The bar is trendy and the popular. Nearby is the historic dockyard. Great spot.
I went there for a weekend while on a course a short drive away. We decided to stay an extra night, seeing as the hotel had a spa, and I'm so glad we did!
The rooms are modern, clean, good facilities (those of you with ling hair won't struggle with the hairdryer).
The wet spa facilities are great. The swimming pool is big, a wet and dry sauna, and jacuzzi, all very quiet in the evenings. Friday night they turn off all the lights and only candles and the inside swimming pool colour lights are on... truly beautiful and relaxing.
it's also a five minute walk to a 24hr sainsburys, if you want to picnic in the room!
huge parking lot, so no problems with parking.
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel
