"Delightful oasis in rural Kent"
We weren't sure what to expect as we elected to stay in this rural area of Kent as we were doing some genealogical research. After 3 wks in Ireland, France and England, and staying in many 4-5 star hotels, castles and manors, we found this one of the most delightful places. The room was very large, with a sitting area, fully modern bath, very comfortable beds, great lighting (important to us) and a garden sitting-area in the back. The room was well appointed...sort of like staying in a private home. And the most important to us, it was immaculate. The owners were delightful, providing us with information, gave suggestions, as well as affording us our privacy. There were "classy touches" such as home made cake in our room when we arrived and home made cookies at the end of the day. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choices. Nikki is an accomplished chef, and so delightful...greeting us every morning so cheerfully. The owners even attempted to help us with finding ancestral names by asking local town citizens. And the location was perfect, we were able to visit Sissinghurst Castle, Leeds Castle, Eastbourne, Haistings, Maidstone which were in close proximity (from our perspective). If, and when, we return to this area, there will be no question that we will stay here again.
