"Very clean & interesting in a great city location"
Spent two nights with my boys age 12,19 & 21 and we all loved the energy of this hotel even though we did not use all the facilities as we we were out to late sightseeing. Loved that the gym had a bowel of fresh fruit available and loved reading the funny descriptions on the toiletries provided (might sound silly, but this added to the quirky atmosphere). The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. My only negatives would be that I found the toilet was hard to flush, shower taps awkward to use and hair dyer difficult to keep holding on and I don't have a disability. Food & drinks expensive for a family so we ate out in the town instead
I would definitely stay here again
Checking in was quick and easy. When we entered our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised by the large sizes of the rooms and their cleanliness. We were taken aback by the stunning view of the River Ness and Inverness Castle. The hotel, being in the heart of Inverness, was in walking distance of many stores and shops, and more importantly, the train station.
The hotel looks almost like a castle from the outside. Even though there was a lift in the hotel, there were still some staircases we needed to climb with our heavy luggage. It also would have been better if there were 2 keys per room instead of one so that each person can have their own key.
Overall, we received very high quality accommodations for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
From the moment we were greeted at the door, everything at the Rocpool Reserve was absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel were as friendly and helpful as could be desired. The meals in the Chez Roux restaurant were superb be they breakfast or dinner. A tremendous property that I highly recommend.
Excellent service from Darren on reception, a young and knowledgeable member of staff, v helpful.
Expected pool and Jacuzzi as was there on last visit but was disappointed to find the facility is no longer there.
Lovely breakfast, appreciated that the meat options were nowhere near the vegetarian hot food, so no risk of utensils going in the bacon and then into the beans or tomato...thank you from 2 v strict vegetarians. Hotel was lovely and quiet considering it seemed quite full with guests

Modern, six-storey hotel set on the riverbank in Inverness city centre, six miles from Culloden, and 12 from Loch Ness …More
Although the hotel is a bit off the beaten path, it is quiet and has ample parking. TIP: be sure to put the postal code of the hotel into your GPS, which will make finding it much easier. Luckily, Inverness has lots of signage for its hotels. The surroundings of the hotel are not lush, but the rooms are simple and comfortable. We had a fine dinner there, although proportions were a bit small.
Usually love this hotel but reception staff slow and even after phoning twice to ensure twin rooms beside each other I got double rooms miles apart! I then got told in the morning I hadn't paid for a room when I had done at check in!! Painters playing loud music outside our room on a Sunday morning was also very irritating!!!!!
Inverness is the most northerly city in the British Isles and lies in the heart of the vast Scottish Highlands. Ness Islands Walk takes visitors upstream from the city centre, where the cathedral and war memorial can be spotted on the approach to the small islands in the middle of the river. Inverness is a great base for exploring; the city is around 21 km from the shores of the renowned Loch Ness.
