"Long weekend in rome"
The hotel is everything you could want. Close to the metro, and only 7 stops from termini station. Rooms are always cleaned spotlessly and all the staff we met were efficient and very friendly. Breakfast is great value for money and the bar in the evenings is great for relaxing with a glass or 3 of wine. All in all a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back to the Pulitzer when we visit Rome again

"Excellent friendly staff"
The hotel is in an excellent location just outside of the city centre only two metro stops away from cirrco massimo and colosseum. The area also has an amazing basilica and plenty of shop and restaurants. There is a slight lack of facilities considering it is a four star hotel but it is relatively cheap compared to others. So it didn't bother me as in Rome you spend little time in your hotel as there is so much to see. The staff are great and very helpful and friendly. The cleaners also do a great job and the room was spotless everyday upon our return. Just remember that in Rome you are subject to a room tax for the first 10 days of your stay in all hotels it 6 euros a night in a 4*. So remember to budget for it as it is not the hotels responsibility. A great hotel.

"Great hotel, in the middle of nowhere."
We read the reviews for this hotel and we decided to book it as we were hiring a car (plenty of free car parking space is provided at this hotel you will need a SAT NAV to find this hotel). This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and I mean nowhere. It's a 20 minute drive to the nearest metro station. Rome centre is about 45-50 minutes drive depending on the traffic. We found parking easy and cheap (we live in London so we're used to these prices) Traffic in Rome can be very very scary if you're not used to big city driving. Also hire a small car as some of the streets in central Rome are alleyways. This hotel is a great hotel. Clean fresh and modern rooms with great heating and air conditioning. The beds and pillows were very very comfortable and have all the facilities that you would expect. The wifi went down for 2 of the days we were staying although there are PCs in the reception area. The swimming pool is €5 a day per person. The breakfast is typical continental breakfast cheese/ham rolls/ cakes and cereals and yogurts. Fruit juice and coffee and tea. Simple and good quality. All in all we were very very happy with our stay here and we used the restaurant one evening and the food was of a very high standard and very good service. The chef also came out to see if everything was ok. We had no complaints.

"Hotel is great! Review transportation options!"
Stayed at hotel for a week while visiting Rome. Hotel room was great... there are allot of "bells and whistles" in the room that are great but not practical so may not be suitable for kids (depends on age I suppose) - Overall room was clean... with the exception of the carpet. It may have just been stained but it just looked gross. You can see general wear and tear in the bathroom. No major issues with exception of transportation... (until you learn options). Expedia states transportation / shuttle... there is a shuttle it is 5 Euros per person / each way - It is a mini shuttle and will fit people on first come / first serve basis. It runs every two hours-ish it seems till 9PM. It drops you off at Piazza Venezia and that is near Colosseum and lots of buses. When searching "Near Colosseum" this comes up within a few miles... so it seems like you can walk it or bike it, etc. but because of highways you cannot do that AT ALL! The neighborhood surrounding hotel seems to have been hit by "life" and to a person who does not know for sure... may seem unsafe. Taxis from the City Center are around 14 to 25 Euro depending on traffic, etc. each way. Cost from / to airport is $45 to $50 for a cab or $35 for a group shuttle each way / per person for shuttle. The hotel staff are VERY NICE! The best part of this hotel is the restaurant! The food was very YUMMY and the hours were excellent.

"Good for business"
I have stayed here 20 times over the last 10 years, it's good for business but quite a distance from the centre if you are on holiday. Nice pool area and very good restaurant for dinner and nice breakfast, really nice shopping centre 10 mins walk away. Staff have always been very nice. Will stay again.

"Nice hotel near Euroma2 Mall"
Nice hotel with the required details needed for a restful stay; we only passed the night there since it was close to both the Euroma2 mall and the airport, which worked great for us since that was the last night we spent at Italy.

"Big rooms and great gym "
My husband I stayed for one night at the end of a two week vacation in Italy, and I was pleasantly surprised - especially after reading all the reviews about rude staff. Each person I interacted, from the reception desk, to the business centre, the shuttle bus desk and the room service waiter was extremely polite and accommodating. The rooms are large and more luxurious than the other (more expensive) hotels we stayed at in Italy. The gym is huge, with new equipment. The shuttle took us to the airport right on time and was significantly cheaper than a taxi. It IS pretty far from the centre of Rome, but I understand that they have a regular shuttle service to the city centre.

"Great hotel"
The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The cleaning service was also excellent. It is a fair distance from the centre of Rome but as we were staying for over a week and don't mind the odd bus ride that wasn't a problem for us. Once you've done the bus and metro trip into Rome once or twice it's actually very easy to get in and out and we never waited long for a bus. The only thing that disappointed us about the hotel was the leisure facilities which is a big part of why we booked that hotel. The swimming pool, spa, restaurant/pizzeria and gym etc. is not actually onsite at the hotel and is in the leisure centre next door to the hotel. You do get free access to much of it but it's open to the public and the swimming pool is always busy with locals doing lengths, which takes away from the holiday atmosphere. We also didn't get to go in the outdoor pool as it wasn't opened whilst we were there, despite good weather. Also, there are no tea or coffee facilities inside the rooms and when I went to get a cup of tea from the restaurant next door, they wouldn't let me take the tea myself but instead follwed me to my room with the tray just so that they could charge an extra 6 euros for room service! Aside for those minor points, the hotel was brilliant. The bed was comfy and the room air conditioned and if you had the window shut it was very quiet and peaceful. Again, the staff were amazing and spoke flawless English.

"Great little place for a quiet stay"
If you don't mind a bit of a hike into Rome by bus and the metro then this place is a little hidden gem. We spent three nights here and thought it was just great. When you first see the place you think you are out in the middle of nowhere, but by the frequent running bus that stops right outside and the metro you are in the centre of Rome in 30 minutes. And getting back to the hotel is no harder. The staff are very helpful and will even provide you with a map of where to go and tell you how to get there. Additionally if you are driving you can drive your car right up outside your room and park right outside. The rooms are very well kept and comfortable. Just a word about the room refreshments however. The coffee making facilities in the room are not free. We all understand the charges for a mini bar, but I think that Tea/Coffee should be in the room price. The breakfast was good however. No cooked option, but nevertheless there was plenty of choice and all well presented. Plus you can even make a decent cup of tea, which for English people abroad is normally unheard of. I'd give 5 stars just for getting that right. One word of advice would be to get hold of bus tickets before you arrive at the hotel. You should be able to pick up the 100 minute tickets that allow you on both the bus and metro from the airport. They don't sell them at or near the hotel so we spent the first day very nervously travelling to the metro station without paying. Sorry Rome but we had no choice.

Pocket Guide: Rome EUR 4 stars Hotels

A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.
