We traveled to London to visit our son, so we needed a room for three people which is not easy to find in London. The executive suite and a rollaway bed were perfect. Plenty of room. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with suggestions for sites to visit and restaurants.
Good hotel in an excellent location on quiet Kensington side-street. Comfortable, clean, pleasantly decorated room with good quality fixtures. Our only complaint was that it was somewhat small, but we managed well and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Very comfortable bed, with quality linens, etc. Did not eat breakfast in hotel (GBP15/person), but got in a selection of treats from the local Waitrose to enjoy in our room as we planned our days.
This Rydges hotel is based in the Kensington area - it's in a busy part of the area. Safe with lots of nice restaurants walking distance. The hotel was very clean and offered free wifi. We requested a quiet room so even though we were in a very busy area, we slept really well as we couldn't hear much traffic noise. The hotel room was small, however, being London, this is quite common. We did end up staying comfortably for the 3 nights - the bed and bathroom were both great.
Had one night at this hotel. The rooms were newly refurbished with nice bed, bathroom and TV, very clean. We had breakfast included which was buffet style, lots of fresh items brought out all the time. The staff were very helpful and polite, when arriving at the room we noticed the TV remote was missing, reception were notified and a replacement was brought to our room in under five minutes.
The hotel is about 200m from the underground station so easy to get about.
Went to London to celebrate my 60th birthday last week, stayed in the Crowne Plaza Kensington. I had requested a room with a view and when I arrived I was given an upgrade to a suite overlooking the garden. Had a fantastic stay there for 5 nights, the staff were excellent from reception to the Breakfast staff and the people who looked after our room each day. Special mention to Victoria in reservations for all her help and excellent customer care. The hotel itself is very well situated close to all the main attractions and the underground station, Gloucester Road is across the street as is a good restaurant, Garfunkles. Would highly recommend this hotel for anybody planning a stay in London.
