It is a nice hotel close to where we needed to go for our business trip, it had everything that was needed. The bedroom wasn't very big and if you wanted to use the iron it was up on the 4th floor, but it was very functional and comfortable for a short stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were very helpful. All in all, a great short stay.
Some of the reviews we had read regarding the rooms were a little concerning, however I cannot reiterate enough how impressed and happy we were with our room (281). It was roomy, comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. In addition, we had a box of chocolates and personalised note welcoming us to Copenhagen. The bed was very cosy, there was a sofa, armchair, tea and coffee and also the bathroom was immaculate. The free wifi was also very useful.
Although there was no air-con, this was not something that bothered us as it was between 5-9 degrees C while we were there, so coming back to a relatively warm room was great! It was possible to control the heating in the room and as such this wasn't an issue for us. There was also a well stocked mini bar and a door in the fridge to allow for storage of drinks purchased elsewhere.
We chose to have breakfast on our last morning. It was expensive (175DKK pp) compared to the little coffee shops and markets nearby, however it was very good - a buffet style, with plenty of breads, cold meats, cheese, eggs, bacon, sausages etc. There was also an excellent selection of croissants, jams, yoghurts, fruit etc. The waitresses were very friendly and promptly served coffee etc. The loose leaf tea was so nice!!!
The hotel is in an excellent location - as mentioned above, it is literally a 5-10 minute walk from Norreport. Everywhere is within walking distance.
If I could have given a higher rating to this hotel, I would. My daughter and I had a three night stay at the Admiral hotel. Our room was spotless and pleasantly quirky with a beamed ceiling and sliding door onto a tiny balcony overlooking the harbour. A converted warehouse, the Admiral Hotel is full of character. Excellent breakfast and charming helpful staff. The position couldn't be better. We loved our stay and will certainly go back.
