Superb hotel, friendly staff, good location next to the Fisketorvet (Copenhagen [shopping] Mall) and with a great walk along the Kalvebod brygge. Regional train station nearby means you can get anywhere easily - even Sweden if you change at Copenhagen Central station.
Restaurant is only slightly more expensive than most places to eat - Copenhagen isn't cheap - but breakfast is great and great value if included in the room rate.
We want to go back, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to anyone else - it was excellent.
It is a very good hotel. Room sizes are consistent with those in the area but small compared to NA standards. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Staff were excellent. I enjoyed facing the street so I sit and have coffee or drink and watch the activity but overnight noise and early morning garbage pick up caused me to get them to move me to the back of the hotel. The staff promptly dealt with this as soon as a room freed up so they were great. Hotel has its restaurant for breakfast but lunch and dinner they get food from a restaurant down the street and offer a limited menu. Not really an issue as there are so many with a 5 minute walk. If you want to stay downtown, this is a great hotel. They also have apartments if you plan to stay longer but these book up quickly so you will have to get them well in advance (listed separately Ascot Apartment Hotel).
Everything was perfect for our five day stay. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, helpful staff and great location. We hired bikes from the hotel for two of the days which added to the experience but not really needed as all sights and attractions were within walking distance. A little gem of a holiday!

It is a nice hotel close to where we needed to go for our business trip, it had everything that was needed. The bedroom wasn't very big and if you wanted to use the iron it was up on the 4th floor, but it was very functional and comfortable for a short stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were very helpful. All in all, a great short stay.
Our family of 5 started our vacation at the Phoenix Hotel after a very traumatic beginning. Our flight was canceled the day we were departing and our cruise was scheduled in 2 days. Phoenix Hotel assisted us with our changes in our plans of being picked up and held our reservation for a late arrival. They were very helpful and considerate after a very difficult and stressful start!
