"Best Ever"
We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. It is pricey, but so worth it. By far the best hotel I've ever stayed in, every comfort provided. We will remember it for the rest of our lives. If you splurge one night, make it here.

"Beautiful setting - lovely staff"
The hotel is set in a beautiful location and the view from our bedroom was spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and most efficient. Breakfast was fabulous - all you could wish for, from full cooked to lighter varieties. Clifden is a small but busy town with some lovely bars and restaurants. All types of music with a leaning towards Irish, which we loved. The scenery is spectacular in the area and we highly recommend a visit to the Connemara National Park for some great walks and, again, very friendly helpful staff. After dinner, we would return to the hotel ( if not dining in ) and join the guests in the bar for a night of music, supplied by the very able variety of pianists for a sing-song. A great atmosphere, which is what you expect with the Irish!

"Beautiful room with an ocean view"
Beautiful setting, crisp and clean and well-decorated. Walks to the ocean with-in minutes on back road that takes you back in time with the country setting and century old buildings. Very peaceful and quiet. Hosts and food exceptional. Can't find anything to say bad about the place.

Pocket Guide: Galway Connemara 4 stars Hotels

Home to rugged mountain peaks, a multitude of lakes, and sandy beaches, Connemara is the name given to the western portion of County Galway, which lies between the Lough Corrib and the Atlantic, and is not always marked on maps. Most tourists come to Connemara to experience nature and see how the landscape has inspired painters and writers throughout time.
