We stayed for 3 days
The room was very clean and comfortable
The stuff and service was outstanding
Sara The concierge was the cherry in the cake, she helped us to prepare our dally root for each day
in a very professional and kind way!
Everything about this hotel was great especially considering what we paid in comparison to other hotels we've stayed at in Kyoto and Japan (I'm looking at you kyoto tower hotel)
Area is close enough to a lot of the good stuff, we rented bikes which we used to get everywhere.
To buy knock against it is the really head mattresses, but that seems to be a Japan thing I it's on par with other hotels in that respect
I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable hotel in the centre of Kyoto. The room was extremely clean, well-maintained and comfortable to relax in. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station and the hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service. We were able to walk to many attractions (15-45 minute walks) or easily get to Kyoto station to take a short train ride to other areas of Kyoto.
Although the hotel was well-located in terms of being central to many of the sights we wanted to see, we wished there had been more food options in the immediate vicinity. We ended up going back to Kyoto station for most of our meals.
We chose this hotel because we wanted a unique experience. We loved staying here! The traditional room was everything that we expected. During the day, the room is set up for tea. In the evening, futons with fluffy duvets are set out. Thanks to another guest review, we found the laundry room on the 4th floor. The beer vending machine in the lobby made our Canadian hearts flutter. The area is quiet but bust shopping area is very close. The hotel is very clean. Highly recommend this to travellers who are looking for an interesting experience - this is not for you if you need 5 star service and amenities.

We treat all of our guests like family and we welcome you in our front desk/ and you would be comfortable hearing …More
Our room was on the 5th floor , it had a private balcony and was very spacious. Staff was extremely courteous, when we arrived the manager accompanied us to our room so he could give us a tour of the room so we would not struggle to figure out how to operate the lights or taps. the room had everything we needed and more for our one night stay .
Stayed in room 402 for just one night, but really wished I could have stayed longer. The rooms were really huge with plenty of facilities such as a Nespresso machine (with complementary coffee!), a bath tub and walk-in closet. It's situated just across the road from the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and walking distance to Teramachi and Nishiki market which are great places for shopping and finding good food. Staff was really helpful and recommended me a nearby restaurant for dinner. There are also plenty of information readily available from the information counter which was really helpful. 5 stars and would stay here again.
Was a little hesitant at first seeing how nice the photos are on their official website. They are actually real!!
Room was clean, massive and loaded with toiletries and Yakuta ready. Futon beds were comfortable and staffs were very friendly and helpful.
In particular, staffs really went outta their way to help. Helped us find doctors, even try to get someone to take us there, offered umbrella to take to Osaka coz it's raining, called taxi and recommended trains to Osaka. The experience was great and really highlighted how friendly the Kyoto community is.
Thanks! Will definitely stay again
