"Perfectly located artful boutique hotel"
The hotel is literally next door to the central train station, yet in a great part of town, easy walking distance from both the Grand Place and from the museum district. They had a very reasonable special rate during the time I was in Brussels. The decor is quite artful, in very good taste (to my mind); everything looks completely new, sparkling clean, and in good condition. The person at the desk was very courteous and helpful. My only complaint is that although I had called up weeks in advance to ask for a back room on one of the top floors (to get a view of the Grand Place), there wasn't one available for me. He did, however, give me a slightly larger room on the fifth floor, which, although facing the street, was not too noisy. Inside the room I felt a bit like in a loft - cozy and high up there, with views of the rooms in the building across the street (which could be covered by a very effective light-blocking curtain). The mattress and bedding were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was a pleasure to walk into, and there is a nice huge mirror all the way across the corridor leading to the bedroom, which makes the place look more spacious. There is a nice little electric kettle in the room, with cups, tea, sugar, and biscuits. I did not get the breakfast, as I thought it was overpriced, but I did sit in the beautiful lounge (filled with art books) and enjoyed a relaxing cup of tea. I highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to spend some time in Brussels.
