Very nice hotel which is my favourite in Birmingham because of the price. The bar and the breakfast.
Ate there for evening meal for the first time and it was very good the plus being they serve until late compared to other local restaurants, it is near St. Paul's square where there are good restaurants. Also try Felinis in the Radisson Blu hotel 2 minutes walk away - it is a very good Italian restaurant within the hotel.

Centrally located in Birmingham City Center. Modern, contemporary, fresh, stylish, innovative design with vibrant and upbeat …More
This not your usual hotel setup, you get an excellent spacious room with full cooking facilities/kitchen, there is no restaurant/bar but there is a large breakfast/lounge area where they serve a full hot buffet breakfast (which is great). This is a great concept , why have bar and restaurant when you are located in the center of a major city with loads of bars and restaurants around. The reception area sells various food/drinks , including convenience food you can heat yourself. Very good rooms, large, finished to a high standard, as is the rest of the hotel. Great value.
Stayed at Malmaison many times and was great as always. Hotel check in was quick despite being very busy with a large group booking and room superb. Some of the reviews state that the rooms are a bit dated - I've never experienced that as they've always been spotless and very comfortable. Recommend upgrading to a Club Room; these are on the upper floors so less noise if the hotel is busy. Free of charge use of the Spa is a nice touch and and welcome after a long journey. Breakfast is about the going rate and worth it - plenty to choose from on the buffet and lots of options.
We stayed for 4 nights recently with young children and extended family. The hotel team went out if their way for us to enjoy the stay. Junior suite is lovely , great bath to soak in. Room service was prompt , fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. Great pool and jacuzzi. Loved the Hammam Ritual massage, expensive but worth it as a treat. Excellent central location. Expect some noise on a weekend and go early to the Regency Club if you want canapés as they run out.
This hotel really is lovely and our stay was fantastic from start to finish. We had a deluxe room and it was spacious and very clean. The king bed was huge and the mini bar and snacks available were all great. The bathroom was the highlight of this room with a huge roll top bath and enormous walk in monsoon shower which nearly knocked me over it was that powerful. The bathroom had a clinical feel about it which was great as I guess it was based on one of the bathrooms from the old eye hospital. We had a front facing room and there was a bit of noise from the front street from passers by late on a Saturday night but nothing to loud or after 12 ish so not so bad. One bad point with this hotel is the lift. It's an old looking open lift shaft and very small inside. Slow going up and down. It got stuck on the way down on one journey and although not in there for more than 5 mins did start to panic. We were on the top floor but when we go again will sure to take the stairs. Apart from that flawless hotel and really impressive for a special occasion. Going to stay here agai ldn and would recommend to anyone.
