I stayed here for a conference and I found the hotel staff to be very professional and helpful. They were always friendly and made me feel welcome.
The hotel was clean I just found a couple of things on the floor from the last guest which wasn't great but the first night my room was serviced these were gone.
Comfy bed nice lounger to relax in, all over a great experience
At $136 NZD this was excellent value room only, there are plenty of cafes to eat breakfast and with different culinary delights and budgets around the hotel, if you preferred you could also eat at the hotel dining room or in your room. Our room was in the Tower wing which is adjoined to the other building. It had a balcony from which we had a great view of the Skytower and city skyline. The room also had a well equipped kitchen if you felt inclined to buy your own food and eat in, it also had a washing machine in the bathroom with detergent. We stayed in a King Executive Room. The room was quite spacious with room for a king bed, office area, coffee table and large armchairs. The bathroom had a large 2 person shower and vanity with excellent toiletries, no bath but that doesn't bother us. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. It was only a short 20 to 30 minute ride via the bus from the international airport and at $20 NZD good value. Get off at Queen Street and it's a short 5 to 10 minute stroll although with slight to mid incline uphill walking in parts but not that bad, we had 2 large suitcases plus a small one and a backpack. The hotel is handy and again a 10 to 15 stroll to Princes Wharf where we joined the cruise ship. We enjoyed the exercise but you would not like to walk in inclement weather. Didn't bother about wifi as too busy looking around the city and enjoying the sights. A grand old building from yesterday which was the old Farmers Department Store. I als
Really loved the whole package especially the hotels location to everything.
Best thing of all was the valet parking service such a breeze in a big city where us visitors struggle to get around.
