I chose to stay at the O&B Boutique hotel based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. Whilst everyone has their own preferences, the fact there had been so many great reviews and such a high overall rating, I couldn't say no...and I am glad I went with it!
I first experienced the hotel's amazing service shortly after I had booked when I first emailed them regarding a few requests. I was planning on proposing to my partner in Athens (which I did in the end and she said yes) and wanted to know if there was anything the hotel could do in terms of surprises. The staff were very thorough in telling me all the possible options, and told me that the evening I went out to propose to just let them know when I would return so they could put candles in the room for us. It's the little things like this that make a big difference for me, and they aren't exaggerating about having a personal relationship with their guests.
This was reinforced when we arrived, by having knowledgeable and friendly staff throughout our stay. We were given helpful advice on places to go/avoid, helped with booking anything that we required, given umbrellas for the day if needed and they even ironed our clothes before our dinner!
Our stay was flawless from start to end, and I can't thank the staff and the hotel for making such an important moment in my life as stress free as possible (what was in their control anyway!)
A very nice hotel in a great location. Our room had an exceptional view and, although not large, a big terrace.
Service was fine and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Improvements? The lifts are very small and there should be free Wifi in the bedrooms. We'd stay again
Not only is this hotel very modern and clean, it is an excellent location for busy travelers; just across the street from the Athens Airport.
Our room was very clean, comfortable bed and bath, nice restaurant on the main lobby floor, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We've been staying at the Amalia hotel when in Athens for over 5 years and would not think of going to another! Perfect location, very clean, staff that remembers us...and reasonably priced. My only "issue" is that the wireless is slow-ish and in some rooms I've had to go into the bathroom to connect after being kicked off for some reason. The buffet breakfast is wonderful and the servers very helpful. Note that the Amalia is across the street from the Syntagma metro station so taking the metro from the airport means you'll save some good money.
Hera Hotel was a very nice, small, boutique-type hotel located in the most perfect area for visiting and seeing Athens. The only reason to ding its cleanliness was because the carpet at our room's door was slightly soiled; otherwise, just fine. An excellent breakfast was served in a delightfully classic morning room; and, for later in the day, on the roof, there was a restaurant which served exceptional meals complete with a view. Every staff member at Hera Hotel was friendly and very helpful.

"Relaxed and comfortable close to metro and sights"
We stayed four nights on our first trip to Athens. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable with wet room bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, fridge, air-con and plenty of space to spread our things! The communal areas were clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety, catering to all tastes including local cuisine (dolmades for breakfast). The pool and bar were cool and refreshing.

My children and I spent 5 amazing days in Athens this month, and our stay at the Athens Diamond has added to the great time we had there. Sorry, no views of the Parthenon but the location could not have been better. Literally in the heart of Athens, 3 minute walk from Syntagma Square, and a few minutes walk to Monastiraki and Plaka. Our room was spacious, with ample space in the bathroom, (with jacuzzi), and the staff could not be helpful enough. They would see to our every need. A great big special thanks to Yiannis at the front desk. His welcome and his smile made our day, every day. Very pleasant chap, very helpful and very approachable. A true service with a smile. A definite must.
