No iron in room as advertised and i could feel every spring in mattress, but clean room, nice decor. My mother had an iron in her room but no soap! Lovely evening meal and drinks were very reasonable, plenty of free car parking, overall would definitely stay again.

Bed very comfortable. Pillows great. Staff very friendly. Food quite expensive but nice touch of complimentary sloe gin in room. Had to walk along corridor for tea and coffee. But room and stay were excellent would bring own kettle next time even provided complementary bottles of water in room and at dinner table.
Because of M25 traffic we were very late arriving, rang ahead and they were fine about it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we were not happy about was the musty damp smell in the bathroom, the extractor didn't seem to make any difference. Breakfast was fine but the service was rather slow, particularly as they weren't busy. But apart from these minor niggles, very happy with our stay.

We stayed on a Saturday night after a family wedding nearby. The Inn on the Hill could do with a few touches, eg night light by the back entrance. Coming in late, one of our party tripped up a step because it was too dark to see properly. The ensuites would benefit from an extractor fan. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was lovely.
