"Excellent staff, clean room and WiFi worked!"
The hotel is charming and quiet. The room we had was small, but adequate. It was very clean. The bathroom had a bathtub, which was important to me. Staff looked out for us! Our luggage was lost and they told us exactly what we should do and what would occur. They were 100% accurate. We were a 20 minute walk from Termini Station, (Train), Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. There were many excellent restaurants close by, two were directly across the street from our hotel. There was shopping nearby, a flower shop, grocery store, appliance store, miscellaneous shop, etc. Excellent location.

"Great location and spacious, comfortable rooms"
In a nice old building in Rome in a quiet street off a main road. The main road has great bus line for getting around and a tabacco shop where you can buy you bus tickets. There is an awesome little elevator which I thought had heaps of character - it's like an open air cage. They are only on the second floor so you can always walk up. The building itself has intercom system and the reception is 24 hours. Staff are nice and helpful. They had a reasonable breakfast and it was included in our room fee. We definitely took advantage of this and filled up. It's a small breaky room but no one was ever in there with us. It's nice and central to lots of stuff. You can walk to capunchin crypt, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps etc. bed was comfy and our room was spacious. The rooms are maybe a bit dated but perfect condition and clean and comfortable. Very nice little restaurant downstairs that will do take away if you just want to veg in your room.

Everything was better than we expected, had just booked as a base so wasn't expecting luxury but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

"Memorable as a great stay I'd return to."
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff were absolutely professional and helpful. Room was comfortable, location was excellent to walk to both Rome attractions and shopping district. Associated restaurant was very good. I'd go back for sure.

"Convenient clean basic hotel near Piazza Barberini"
Pleasant stay for 2 nights in great location - just steps to subway, bus lines and walking distance to notable sights including Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Veneto and Borghese gardens. Restaurants, shopping and food take-away amenities close by. Hotel staff was helpful - let us store luggage since we arrived before our room was ready. We had requested and received a room on a higher floor facing the back garden - very quiet. Terrace and continental breakfast on 6th floor. Note the very small elevator only goes to the 5th floor. Need to walk up a flight to terrace. Our room was clean and spacious (for 3 people). The extra bed looked like a rollaway which was fine for our 7 year old daughter, but may not be suitable for full-sized adult. Air conditioning is included in the rate and worked well. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Free WiFi worked in the room. We would stay here again.

"Nice place to stay"
We stayed four nights at this hotel. It would have been very confusing as to how to get into the hotel had I not read a previous reviewers tip- having to push the button by the big wooden door at the first entrance- this unlocked the other doors. The hotel is very small(only twenty rooms), and quaint. The staff is very personable and is willing to help you with any questions or problems you may have. The check-in area (on 2nd floor)is not very large and you must walk by it upon entering and exiting your room. They wish for you to leave your room keys with them when you leave the building, which is really fine..this way you know you cannot lose your keys....I guess they can do this because it is such a small hotel. The rooms were spacious enough and clean. The showers were small, and in one of our 2 rooms the air conditioner did not cool as well as the other. The location of the hotel was very good. It was a 2 minute walk to the metro, and 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and The Spanish Steps. There were cafes close by as well. I would stay at this hotel again.

"Good choice "
Went to Rome for my birthday with my girlfriend, so picked a hotel a bit not in the city center. Generally was pleased, i would say good value for money. If you go to Rome a lot of walking would be involved so your hotel would just be a place to sleep and rest, so it all would come down to what is comfortable for you.

"Lovely"
Lovely hotel, I was very happy with my stay. They sent an email before arrival to query my needs and special requirements. Upon arrival the gentleman at the reception handed over a map and gave a detailed description about the city, transport, tickets. The room was small but I've never been to Rome in a hotel before so might be the same everywhere. Plus I was on my own and still got a room with double bed. It was a bit old school, but very clean. There was hot water anytime during the day, with good pressure. The breakfast is between 7-9:30, with lots of choices. They made the coffee fresh for you! One day I went down at 9, and there was no bread left, only toasted crackers, that was a bit disappointing. Very close to termini (taxi 6 Euros including tip, but you can walk too). From the hotel you can walk to the city, but there are buses as well very close. Restaurants are in the neighbourhood at ViaFlavia.

"Small hotel, convenient location in Rome"
Hotel is on busy street with bus stop nearby and 10 min walk to Metro. Accessibility would be a concern for some. It is 4 floors up. There is a small elevator but you must still walk up 15 to 20 steps to get to it. Our double standard room with balcony was very small and access to bathroom was partially blocked by the bed. Only storage for clothes was a small wardrobe with one broken door. Balcony was nice. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Pocket Guide: Rome Via Veneto 3 stars Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
