we travelled in November, and got a great hotel rate through expedia, the hotel is well situated off the San Zaccharia stop of the Vaporetto, close to San Marco, our room was elegantly furnished, comfortable quiet and with enough space, the bathroom was fairly large and with a bathtub, the staff was helpful, friendly. great stay
Visited Venice for a long weekend. This hotel is ideally placed for all attractions Venice has to offer and is very easy to find if using the Alilalunga water shuttle (San Zaccharia Station is opposite the lane into the square where Villa Igea is situated). The Reception Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the room was nicely furnished and clean. The breakfast is served at Villa Igea's Sister Hotel and you can choose to sit on the terrace or inside the restaurant. We chose to sit on the terrace as the weather was beautiful during our stay and we could watch the early morning hustle and bustle whilst enjoying our buffet style breakfast. There was a good choice of bread rolls, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, and cheeses with the added bonus of creamy scrambled eggs and bacon. It certainly set us up for the day. The only downside was the pigeons who insisted on joining us.
I cant praise this hotel enough. To start with the location. Its right in the middle of venice. About 200 metres from St. Marks Square. So is it noisy. Not really. Its a small turnoff from the a high street filled with brand shops . The turn off is a dead end leading to this hotel so it sees no people coming through. Yes, your roms can overlook another street which in season can get noisy , but dont think there is any avoiding this in venice during season. The room was small but it was the economy room. Was very cozy, comfortable , with attached bath. The staff at the reception were extremely helpfull and i say this emphatically. the charming courtyard in front of the hotel is perfect to just kick back and relax early in the day or after a hectic day around the city. Breakfast is ample without being extravagant. In all it just elevated our venice trip. Thank you guys. Great job.

Just off the fashionable Via XXII Marzo , lined with elegant shops and boutiques, Hotel Do Pozzi is a quaint and …More
The hotel is located right across from the central train station on the other side of the canal, can walk to San Marco square; the staffs were very efficient to check us in, and provided detail sightseeing information about Venice; our rooms are very clean and nice; we got up late in the next morning, missed the breakfast, the hotel staff was so nice to still provided us some simple but sufficient food of bread, boiled eggs and coffee. We recommend this hotel to everybody.
Hotel Al Sole - real taste of Italy - oldie with lots of charm. Great location 5 min from bus/train station. Everything on ur doorstep just walk out of hotel doors and loose urself in the alleys & canals around Venice. A surprise at every corner you turn & all major sight seeing attractions in easy walking distance.
"Excellent location to sites, price, and kind staff"
We had a very restful time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service staff was working so hard to make everything great for us. My wife & I had a very restful time in Venice, and a lot had to do with our hotel. Because of its location, we could return to it and rest throughout the day. We recommend this place for anyone to stay in the future. The only change we would recommend would only be for personal preferences. There were only 2 tv stations in English, CNN & BBC...but we weren't there to watch TV. This hotel was very nice for our trip!!!
I spent three lovely nights in Venice at this wonderful hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful to me. I was travelling alone and with very limited Italian, so I was extremely grateful for their kindness.
The breakfast was delicious, and in my opinion, they served the world’s best coffee! I cannot speak highly enough of the coffee!!
I booked a single room, which was very nicely decorated and had excellent air conditioning. My view consisted of a beautiful church framed by blue skies. Wonderful.
Thank you to all the staff who made my first trip to Venice even more of a pleasure.
Rain and flood is not a deterrent for walking around Venice. Umbrella and plastic colorful booties sold in shops solves it. The place is just so amazing. Too much history and that's why I so love the place. Water taxi tour is a must, such an amazing view. Best Western stay, best hotel pick ever.
