The personalised and friendly service from this family run hotel is outstanding. During the trip we required some medical attention and the staff were both caring and attentive to our needs. This is the second time we have stayed and both times were exceptional.

Stresa Friday Market a must for 1.time visitors.
Restaurants from touristy to excellent.
Our 2 nights in a row return to the Restaurant " Piemontese "for dinner speaks for itself, dinner excellent, wine recommendation nicely guided, service top notch, and the ambience charming especially in the Patio part.. The fratelli i.e Brothers Bellossi owned and run Restaurant is a true gem..
For the fish lovers amongst us the " Il Clandestino" somewhat more pricey, but definitely worth it. Try the suggestions by the chef and pair each course with the appropriate wine, selected by staff. A truely unique experience and my guess this place is a contender for a Guide Michelin star.
We stayed on a top floor room which had a lovely view of the lake, and also a second balcony overlooking the road. Others have mentioned the road noise; yes there is some noise but really we didn't find it disruptive. Have a look at the road on street view and you will see that although it is the 'main' lakeside road it isn't that busy by UK standards. Close the double glazed windows and you'll hardly hear it. We slept with them open with no problem. Obviously a lake view room is preferable, but the view up the mountain from roadside rooms is far from shabby. The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. It is very clean and well kept, the staff were all, without exception, friendly and helpful. The pool is just the right size to cool down, and the continental breakfast buffet was ample and very tasty. They were happy to arrange our transfer to Malpensa airport by bus for us (12 euros each) with a few days notice. They do ask for any additional costs (drinks, evening meals etc) to be paid for in cash rather than card at the end of your stay, but in fairness they do tell you this in the hotel information booklet. The location is a 20 / 30 minute enjoyable stroll along the lakeside into Stresa town. Overall we had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay here, it really is one of the nicest, friendliest hotels we've every stayed in, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

"Nice hotel in Stresa, Italy with some lake views."
Ask for 4th floor lake side room. Need to get high to see over trees to lake. Convient parking across the street; (8.5 euros, must be cash, pay at front desk of the hotel to get paper to put on your dashboard..

This hotel is a on the return list again and again. The staff are always helpful and with it being family owned gives a more personal experience and less corporate. It could do with one a two things upgrading pillows are hard, no shower curtain glass in our bathroom is clear, which was not the most private for the guests or the residents opposite. That said wouldn't hesitate to return the location has a pull that once been you are hooked.
Lovely little hotel opposite Isolo Borromeo. Bit of a walk into the town, but ideal to walk off all the great food! Sound insulation in rooms was poor, you could hear toilets being flushed and shutters being closed in other rooms. Dogs are currently allowed in hotel and one of them was barking for hours two nights running. The second night reception went to find out which room dog had been left in and people left the following morning.
