I recommend this hotel.
It was rustic, central, clean, quiet, comfortable with a very nice breakfast and excellent value for money.
The service was excellent.
It is near the bullring on a side street.
It has its own restaurant. Only opened until until seven pm.

First of all if you're deciding on whether or not you should go to Ronda, go. Secondly, this is the place to stay. It is a little hotel of maybe 5 rooms run by a family, and the main man in charge is awesome. He invited me to eat with him and to drink coffee with him multiple times and to sit and overlook the view (which is breathtaking) and talk to him. The hotel is right next to to a 600 year old church and the gardens in the back of the hotel which overlook the unbelievable mountain view are about as picturesque as can get. This is about as far away from a cookie cutter hotel as you can get, and it is the perfect Spanish experience. it is also located about 200 yards away from a great plaza with a bunch of restaurants and cafes and there is a great spot to watch the sunset on a wall overlooking the other side of the town, and you can watch the sun set behind the mountains. Please go here, I promise a fantastic experience. Oh, and also the pool is gorgeous, with a view as well.

I last stayed here about 9 years ago and am pleased to say that standards have not just been maintained but improved. The pool is lovely, the food basic but good, the rooms very comfortable and the setting ideal.

Staying in Casas Rurales was one of my most charming travel experiences. The private house was decorated in whitewashed cream furniture, had rounded soaring ceilings, walls painted a beautiful blue and cream, and reddish purple accents. I was in heaven. I had my own private patio and locking gate. The view was spectacular........hills, trees, luscious plants and blue skies.
The houses are located next to the immaculate white hill town of El Gastor. There you can find restaurants, town square, lovely church, museum, and charm at every turn of the winding streets. It is also a short drive to the Pileta Cave which has Paleolithic drawings.
