Wonderful stay at Hotel Cambodiana. Could see the Mekong River from every vantage point in room. Staff was exceptionally friendly and eager to please. By staying on 5th floor, we got free drinks and snacks in late afternoon. Enough food to skip dinner! Would recommend this hotel for everyone.
I spent 5 nights at the Bougainvillier Hotel in Phnom Penh in August 2014 and had a great time. The staff are wonderful. I had pre-paid my stay. When Air Asia cancelled my connecting flight, I was stuck in Kuala Lumpur for a day and arrived a day late in Phnom Penh. The lady behind reception felt bad about this and upgraded me to a terrific river-view room.
If I ever come back to Phnom Penh I would definitely stay at the Bougainvillier in a river-view room again. The room was absolutely massive, great balcony, great bed, new TV, terrific bathroom.
The staff were also terrific. Breakfast is until 10.00. When I slept in and came down at 10.15 one day, they kindly put some food back, offered to fry me some eggs - awesome!
Phnom Penh is a wonderful city, very warm and welcoming. The hotel was excellent value for money. The room was superb, spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the main street outside. The food generally good the cocktails excellent.
I cannot fault this beautiful new hotel. It has a wonderful ambiance and a high standard in all respects. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful and the room service exceptional. The rooftop restaurant and pool have amazing views over the city. My one criticism is there were no breakfast cereals available for their western customers! Museli would be good!
