The place from the outside is nothing to look at, but once inside the wooden portal one is transported to a different place.
The place is an old palace and part of it has been converted in small apartments and bedrooms. There is a bit of a problem with parking, as the hotel is located in the old town and Noto is no different from any other old towns , but if one is able to download the suitcases quickly at the main door, then by going to the next one way street, Via Roma, one will be able to find a small square where the car can be left safely for as long as one like. Great peaceful walled garden, great breakfast buffet and everything else is up to the standard one would expect.

This was a very good B&B right in the centre of Noto.
Drop your bags right outside as free parking is about 300 metres further down the street.
We struggled to find the street but a good reference point are the high floodlights at the stadium which is very close by.
"Cheaper Italian version of CLUB MED, happy vibe."
Great value place to stay. Sure it isnt a 5 star all bells and whistles hotel, but u get exactly what it says on the tin. Rooms are basic, but you don't spend much time in them anyway. They are spacious and functional and I would recommend one with a balcony so you can dry off your towel (u need to bring a pool/beach towel) at the day. There are no hidden extras when you check out, & they don't go out of their way to find extras to put on your bill either. I stayed with my 2 children (9 & 4 yrs old) and was the only Brit in the place, (thank heavens!!!). This was of huge fun to the Entertainment Chief who hosts the open air show everynight at 10pm, hauling us up onto the stage for fun poking and language games....all in jest & good spirit. I have a very basic understanding of French & Spanish and you get the gist of the entertainment as it is aimed at Kids aswell, so has to be easy to grasp..! The lunch & dinner buffet is a bit of a mild bun fight, I suggest arriving 10 mins after it starts and relaxing as there is plenty of food and they replenish platters both hot and cold very quickly. The pool is great and not used as much by the Italian guests, they seem to prefer the beach which is a 2 min walk down a path. We were more often by the pool, but the beach is there nevertheless if you like the morning or afternoon aqua gym classes and music to tap your feet to. Staff were amazing though not many english speakers. Car hire is available from reception, & highly recommended.
This was our second visit to Aguglia and we enjoyed it as much this year as last year. We love Noto and evenings there are special. 10 minutes away is Palazzolo and we love the evenings there too - in the square with drinks and the local people.
The rooms are tastefully furnished in keeping with the age of the buildings. A fridge and tea/coffee making equipment is also included. The bathrooms are modern with every convenience. Breakfast is a joy as Daniela provides a breakfast full of variety and flavours which she cooks for her guests. Home grown olives and cherries. During our stay she arranged for me to spend a morning in a local restaurant with an award winning chef. Three hours of watching and learning about Italian food provided me with an experience I will always remember. Aguglia is set in beautiful surroundings with palm trees, flowers and a lovely swimming pool. It is a place of charm and tranquility. But also in a location with plenty to see.
