Amazing view from the rooms of the beautiful garden, staff is very sweet, veg food is delicious and many great free activities are proposed ( yoga classes, walk in te spice plantations...) we loved this place ! Go there without any doubt !!!!!
This was by some distance the nicest accommodation we stayed in during our 18 days in Kerala. We had a spacious cabin with a bathroom big enough to bathe a medium-sized elephant. It was beautifully-furnished in a very cool, understated way, and immaculately clean. The hotel staff were without exception friendly, courteous and professional. We liked the fact that there were some structured opportunities to mix and mingle, ie the excellent, free, guided walks, and the pre-dinner barbecues. Equally we liked the peace and quiet and the privacy. The reading room above the dining room was an unexpectedly lovely place, with views so distractingly lovely that I don't imagine anyone does much reading.
It felt like we were staying in heaven. I'm sure the exotic beauty of Munnar played a role in this feeling, but everything about the Blackberry Hills Retreat was perfect for the location--from the simple elegance of the lobby to the siting of all the buildings to maximize views to the way they've kept mature trees close to the buildings to the room itself. We had a comfortable suite with a great balcony, a large sitting room, and a perfect bedroom with very comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant was excellent when serving off the menu, less so when serving a buffet.
Note: You need to be comfortable with walking up and downhill if you stay here.
This hotel is situated at a lovely hill side location with 12 rooms, the scenery is amazing. It is an excellent place to enjoy the nature and for relaxation. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. The only negative point is the staff are very slow when serving the breakfast. you have to wait for quiet some time to be served. The hotel staff also will request you to place your diner or lunch order an hour ahead in order to be served on time. For travelers who needs to be in touched with family please be aware that due to the hotel is located at a high altitude between the mountains their is hardly any mobile connection, however it can be overcome by buying a prepaid land line phone card( ISD Card) in advance and you can use the hotel phone to make the call. Overall i enjoyed my stay
Good resort with an excellent view from the balcony.new property with good rooms.situvated 13 km away from munnar town so no restaurants or shops nearby.road leading to resort is not good.food in resort needs improvement considering the charges.kids play area is good.overall good resort.
This is a super cute boutique hotel. All of the rooms are charming and comfortable, and probably the cleanest rooms we stayed in throughout our visit. The staff is incredibly helpful and really want to make sure you have a wonderful time. They have great advice on where to go and what to see, and will help make sure you get there safely. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. Be sure to book in advance, this place will fill up fast! Great value, too. Beautiful location. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay!
We had booked 3 rooms in advance at this hotel for our trip to Munnar. On arrival we found out that they cannot give us the assigned rooms as there was a water leak and 1 hallway was not usable. They offered to give us 1 room and give 2 rooms at another hotel across the street that was not the save quality place. Alternatively they said they could give us 2 rooms and have extra beds in the big room. We took that option. We had only seen the big room first. The second room assigned to us may have been a spare that the hotel staff uses - the interior was different, makeshift place. The bathroom was really a kitchen with black counters and rectangular sink! Water was leaking when we tried to use the hand held shower! When we complained about our experience the next day the person at the checkin desk had a blank look and kept talking about the water leak that caused the issue. He refused to acknowledge that he should be compensate us for the room we did not get, or in kitchen we were assigned to use as a shower! The manager was to come at 11am at at 8:30 in the morning he was offering nothing but some spices! After trying to talk to him to 30mins, a PR person came and helped matters.
