This hotel was recommended in the Rough Guide so when there was just one room available for our dates, at short notice. I snapped it up - and we were glad we did. Yes, it lacks a bit of character but the upside of that is that the facilities and furnishings are very modern, and spotless. And yes, it's on a main road and is a bit noisy from the trams - but the obvious upside of that is that the trams are very close. However, the best thing is the position, and it isn't necessary to use public transport at all for the main sights. The rooms are a bit small, but the price is very reasonable for a city-centre hotel. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast buffet is varied and served in a very pleasant room, though our only slight quibble is that the coffee, orange juice and croissants are are usually better in Italian restaurants (but again, it's reasonably priced). The hotel doesn't do evening meals, but there is a superb restaurant next door that does - we went there for each of our five evenings! There is also, unusually for a city-centre 3-star hotel we think, a very pleasant bar. There is a charge for wifi but at least one nearby café has free wifi.
I had short stay for official purposes but just for sleep.. and I found really professional staff in front desk I mean he is an Asian (I think so..) when I was check in and chec
k out it was the same person in fount desk. I really wanted to mention the person will be an assets for the company.
The hotel was very close to the main train station (like 5 minutes walk) this is also where the airport shuttle bus arrives/departs. It is around a 40 minute walk to the main part of Milan with the cathedral etc. There are nearby metro stations if needs be.
All in all everything was great. Definitely very functional though. I wouldn't describe the place as luxury but everything you need is there, it's clean and the staff were helpful.
It would be most suited to people who intend to spend their time out and about. With the free wi-fi it would be good for people traveling for business.

Well, we went to Europe to feel like we were in Europe and Hotel Mennini fit the bill. I liked the stair case. I enjoyed the balcony overlooking the intesection of 6 streets.
The continental breakfast was not Bob Evans but we did enjoy it; brown hard Why did I choose Mennini to begin with. It had balconies! And one could watch the people rolling suitcases 24hrs a day to and from the train station.
We enjoyed the cafe in front of the hotel for a beer or wine or hot tea or food.
It is one block walk from the Hotel to the Subway and train station.
Want to save a little money on food? There is a Supermarket one (maybe 2) blocks south of the hotel. By some cheese, crackers etc. and keep it in the Mini Bar fridge.
The room was cleaned daily. We had plenty of fresh towels daily(3 sizes), but did get any wash cloths, must be a Euopean thing.
Yes, some reviews say it is not in the best of neighborhoods. Howver, every large city in America has a neighborhod or 2 or
3 that I would not want my grandchildren in in broad daylight. This is not the case with Hotel Meninni. True we were not on the streets at 2 in Morning but there was lots of pedistrian traffic well into the night. I could observe this from my balcony while drinking my coffee from McDonalds (closest thing to American coffee that I could find)
