It is a beautiful place with round the clock service and a homey feel. I had a room that was rather large with an en suite and a double bed. It was lovely from the start, the bed is comfortable, the sheets smell lovely, and there was a little art deco above the bed that said sweet dreams. The woman who ran it was really sweet and let me have as much tea and sugar as I wanted. She even made me food when I slept through breakfast time (without me asking). It is an expensive hotel, but if you can afford it, it is 100% worth it.
I stayed in one of the rooms available on the campus of University of Wales Trinity Saint David - Upon arrival I was welcomed by the kind and informative porter who showed me to an appropriately uncluttered, clean and comfortable room that provided the perfect place to prepare for the next day's activities, then unwind and rest. Would gladly stay again if needed.
Arrived and checked straight in. Dropped bag off in room and proceeded to the bar. The village drunk was at the bar absolutely paraletic. He was swearing and we found it rather intimidating. The bar staff did say to him, anymore and you will have to leave. He eventually staggared out and that was the end of him...
Anyway, we had a lovely meal. There was a singer on as it was friday evening. She was quite good. The pub had a nice atmosphere. We had a nice sleep in our room.
One thing though. The kettle was too large to fit underneath the tap resuting in not enough water in kettle.
All in all though its a nice hotel with lovely bar area. A nice beer garden as well....
"Right on the Marine Parade in Aberystwyth, facing"
Nice inn with excellent bar, real ales, Scotch whiskies, fantastic kitchen and pool, darts and sports on TV in a separate (large) room if you want them. Unbelievable sunsets over the sea. Five minutes from Aberystwyth town centre. Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice accommodation: get a room with a view of the sea if you can. You can park outside up to midday every day.
