We enjoyed our stay after a minor hiccup that was rectified by the lovely staff at the hotel. We just had B&B board and the breakfast variety was good. The hotel was clean, close to the beach, restaurants and bars. A good 20 minutes walk to the Finikoudes which is the town centre bursting with a great atmosphere. A 5 minute walk to Mackenzie Beach where there were water sports, more places to eat and child friendly beaches. Overall a fantastic 10 day stay in Cyprus.

This hotel is on the main beach strip surrounded by restaurants and shops. Also quiet close to the main bus stop, which offers both local and intercity services. The staff were not only welcoming but offered very helpful advise. The apartment I stayed in was clean, had a good sea view and was comfortable. If you are an early sleeper there may be a problem as there is lots of noise from outside until the early hours of the morning. The only things extra I could have done with was a microwave and a modern television instead of an old CRT screen one.
"Lovely apartments, v. close to beach & restaurants"
The Manager was very friendly, helpful and was always asking if I was happy or if I needed anything. The room was very clean and tidy on my arrival and cleaned regularly. This was a last minute, cheap deal for me so I didn't have high expectations, however, I was very pleased with the location and overall presentation and size of the apartment which also included WiFi, TV, fridge with a small freezer compartment, gas ring, microwave & milk shaker maker.
Please be aware and be warned if you're squeamish & if you haven't been to Cyprus before, you MUST put your toilet paper in a waste bin NOT down the toilet because this may block the system and you may be charged; there are signs next to the WC to remind you.
There are many lovely traditional restaurants & cafés within a 2 minute walk. If you like fast food, there is a McD, TGIF & KFC also within a 2 minute walk.
Typically with sea front locations, all the shops are mainly geared for tourists so if you want the conventional 'high street' shops, you will have to travel into the town.
The beach is very wide with a lovely fine sand, a wide promenade and places to sit, so you can go for very long walks.
"Best hotel we ever stayed in when visiting Cyprus"
Frixos is a nice small size hotel, very close to the beach. You can see the sea from the pool side rooms' windows. The rooms are modern and quite freshly decorated. Cleaned regularly and to good standard too, especially when you compare it to previous experiences of holiday apartments. The kitchen could do with a frying pan and few other cooking and cleaning utensils. I came prepared after reading the reviews - small amount of dishwasher liquid, washing sponge, kitchen towel and good cutting knife - yes, you can buy all this locally, if you want to shop for that kind of stuff for stupid prices first days of your arrival. Didn't think to bring the pan though :) There was only one saucepan for cooking in the cupboard. No toaster, but the buffet breakfast was good, so it probably wasn't needed after all.
Overall very pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, place was clean and location was convenient - quite a few restaurants around, shops and car rentals too, only few steps to the beach and to the bus stops to Larnaka and Agia Napa. If we were to go to Cyprus again, definitely would stay in Frixos again.
