The apartment is fine. But when you leave your stuff and go out on the town, you expect it to be secure. However, we came back at midnight, there were five people in the room and they said they were trying to stay another night but since we came back, they'd leave. Wth??
Place was clean, staff friendly and professional, elevators were fast. Breakfast was great - be there by 7 a.m. coz it gets crowded at 8 a.m. Even the elevators are busy starting at 8 a.m. Place is a short walk to Time square and broadway. Room was just right , don't expect big rooms , remember this is New York. Had a good view of Empire state building on the 24th floor.
So happy I chose this hotel by Westin. Will come back here.
All aspects f my stay was terrific. Added was the positive atmosphere created by the hotel staff in the lobby - even singing and making jokes about the elevators being busy and slow...which balanced the only negative of my stay. I will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others. Bravo!
This is an older, small hotel in midtown. The rooms were not luxurious, but were clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance from many landmarks and one block from the subway. With an unlimited use Metrocard one may travel virtually anywhere in New York at minimum expense.
This was my first experience at the Skyline, a very nice hotel with extremely friendly staff. We were given a free room upgrade which was an excellent room. And we swam in the 82 degree salt water pool (very nice & warm in the winter) with gorgeous views of the NYC skyline. The hotel was extremely clean and very updated for a NYC hotel. The only problem we had was the noise level on the street but it is NYC (we went a week before Christmas). Also, it was close enough to the sights but not so close that we were crowded. Also, restaurants were extremely accessible from this location.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. The hotel was renovated and if you come to NYC this hotel is a great find at a great rate. It's close to all our needs and In the summertime the pool is a bonus.
