We use this hotel all the time for pre and post holidays. This time for a xmas shopping trip. Easy to book online, easy check in. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lovely clean room. Just whats needed for an overnight stay.
"Not like a hotel at all - more like a luxury home"
Only stayed here because all the hotels were booked due to the Ryder Cup. What have I been missing? The appartments were lovely - like staying in a luxury 5* appartment but with all the comforts of home. Unlike when you stay in a hotel - no watching the TV sat on your bed, a real sofa to sit on, a table to eat your meal at, real cuttlery, no drinking your wine from the plastic cup from the bathroom - even a real wine glass. Excellent - only down side was I was only staying for one night. Can't praise it enough. I will be back.

We stayed here to attend a comedy gig at the SECC Auditorium. It cost a fraction of the price of a hotel in the centre of Glasgow and is only a short 20 minute drive. Breakfast is excellent and the bedrooms are clean and comfy.
Forget any poor reviews you may have read :)
We stayed Fri 19th Sept to 22nd Sept and cannot fault any aspect of our stay, The location is central but quiet and near all amenities. All the staff were welcoming, efficient and very friendly. The rooms are very nice and the bed very comfortable, Loved the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with a really good choice. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel

Our trip destination was to watch the Commonwealth Rowing at Strathclyde Park. The selection of Moorings was due to the proximity to the park. How fortunate for us that Moorings also proved to be exemplary from staff to room. No request was too great or small for the staff to comply, from area shopping and suggestions for dinner to helping procure an extra room close to ours for an unexpected last minute relative.
