"A great hotel in the middle of town."
Booked the day before we arrived so did it in a little bit of a hurry but both my wife and were very pleased with my choice! The reception area was very clean and the receptionist courteous and announced we had an upgrade which was great. The room was clean, spacious and had a whirlpool bath. Breakfast was OK but not sure when Scottish hotels will realise that a "Scottish breakfast" should NOT include beans or hash browns, that said it would not stop me from booking this hotel again.

"A real Highland surprise"
Although some miles from major centres, the Holly Tree makes up for this by having an excellent restaurant - Seafood mainly but enough choice to suit others - and caring, friendly, staff. Our stay at the Holly Tree has been the highlight of our holiday and we (reluctantly) recommend it to anyone travelling in the Oban/Glencoe/Fort William area. (We're only reluctant because it was hard enough to get in there and we've probably made it even harder to get a room now by recommending it!). The rooms, restaurant and bar all face out over Loch Linnhe and present beautiful and ever-changing views as the light moves through the day and evening.

"Magical Experience "
This was the last stop on a magical tour through The Highlands, so our expectations were high. Your facility came through. It was wonderful. The building is charming and elegant, and the staff met us at every turn with a smile. The Ferry Bar is a perfect blend of old world charm and friendly atmosphere. The path to the little island behind the hotel is a fairy tale walk into the setting for an old romantic painting. One way or another we will make it back here.

"Awesome views !"
The location must be one of the best in Scotland, the view looking across Loch Linhe is amazing, the owner told me that his grandfather built the house in 1929, he must have been a visionary.

"A hotel in transition?"
This feels like a hotel in transition. It’s called the Glencoe Hotel on many websites but when you get there its called the Glencoe Inn which is confusing. On the plus side the staff were helpful and efficient, particularly when we asked to arrive late on the first night. They were also able to provide us with a family room with 4 beds, which is hard to find. Some of the areas of the hotel have been refurbished and are well decorated and comfortable while other areas are a bit on the downtrodden side. The place next door is new and stylish with a restaurant and bar area that also serves food. The organisation of this left a bit to be desired ( the same 4 song tracks playing over and over again for example) but given how isolated Glencoe village is, it was nice not to have to drive.

"Beautiful bed and breakfast accomodation"
Would not hesitate to stay again at this lovely B&B. Michael and Jane are really welcoming, and most helpful. Our room had the comfiest bed ever. The breakfast really sets you up for the day, with everything you could possibly want. All cooked fresh, it was yummy! Absolutely gorgeous setting with amazing views. You can hear the stream and the birds singing from your bed, really relaxing. About 15 minutes drive from Fort William, so you would really need a car, but it's so worth it to be able to stay here. We met some other lovely guests around the breakfast table, it was good to chat to them to get other ideas of places to visit. Most enjoyable experience, just book it, you won't regret it.
