"Fabulous location, very central"
The hotel is in a brilliant Location, you couldn't be any more closer to the main city centre- loads of shopping, good Restaurants and pubs/clubs. Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was fab but not too generous in providing you with bath towels (One between two)

"A wonderful site for a mini break on Princes St."
*I went away for a mini break with my elderly mum and we both thoroughly our stay. The hotel was near the railway station, buses, taxi's and the tour buses. I had been concerned about the stairs up to the reception but by ringing the assistance bell at the bottom of the stairs staff came down to help with luggage and I could help mum up the stairs. The room even though it was on one of the lower floors and a room a the side although near the front had a lovely view of the main street. The lift was easily accessable. A little noisy from the traffic at first but we soon got used to it and slept really well the beds very amazingly comfortable. The staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly particularly with mum being elderly. The food was lovely in the restaurant, on the last night we tried the bar meals which we also enjoyed. The bar was always busier the restaurant. It was also a hotel with a history.

"Short walk to main tourist areas."
My room was down stairs. A small bedroom but with another small area for tea making, writing at a desk and a very nice bathroom. However the room was freezing and I sat in bed with my coat on to watch TV. The heater is against the window and the curtains cover the heater. I ate at the hotel. The menu was limited but adequate and food quality fine.

"Centre of Edinburgh"
Great location just a few minutes walk from Waverley Railway Station and Princes Street. Also a short walk up the hill to the Royal Mile with lots of eating places, cafes, shops and places of interest. Hotel room 313 was very quiet even at the weekend when the motel was full. Very clean with amply supply of tea, coffee and milk for making drinks in the room. Great shower in the ensuite. Highly recommend. It is the second time that I've chosen to stay there

"Great base for 1st visit to Edinburgh"
This was our first visit to Edinburgh and we booked this via the secret hotels option. The hotel is in a good location a little way out of the city centre, but on a main bus route. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel where you can catch the number 26 bus to take you into the city centre for £1.50 single or £4 for all day bus tickets, making exploring very easy and no need to use the car. The bus trip into town takes approx 15 mins or so. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, welcoming us to Edinburgh and giving us all the information we needed for our stay. The night prior to our stay I emailed the hotel to enquire about packages for my partners birthday and had a really quick helpful response. An upgraded package was provided for us including a larger room, champagne, chocolates, a toiletries package and bathrobes. The hotel had good size rooms and was a good base for seeing the sights including the city centre and the zoo. I would happily stay here again on future visits.

"room with a view"
Arrived at reception at 9am, spoke to receptionist about early access to the room and about an hour later I was in my room. After flying in from Florida this was appreciated. Tea and coffee making facilities were available although socket box for plugging in was missing. Hotel is being renovated so a few workmen around and a bit messy but this did not impact me. Kitchen provided sandwiches for me after a late night arrival from visiting Oxford. Also had lunch in the coffee lounge, friendly service and good food.

"Stunning room"
This hotel although on a busy road wasn't at all noisy but wow, the room we had (family room ) was stunning! Two showers, huge beds and beautifully decorated. Enough choice at breakfast but no decaf drinks so take your own. Downside was The Bothy (restaurant) attached to the hotel doesn't do room service and only a lunch or evening menu - there wasn't anything available for us to eat as a light bite. We unfortunately went next door to that hotel to eat which was very good and had a varied menu.

"Hotel with a luxury feel!"
The hotel staff were excellent and helpful. Whilst I would say its not a hotel aimed at families rather more for couples, they did have highchairs in the restaurant and made up a small bed for our yr old son and offered us an early booking for dinner. The room was lovely and had a large comfy bed. Would definitely go back.
