The Wild West is alive and restored in Eagle Nest. The town’s buildings reflect its gold-rush roots, circa 1860s. One of Eagle Nest’s most popular attractions is east of town. There, rainbow trout and salmon swim in Eagle Nest Lake State Park. Deer, elk, and bear wander by the shore. And, as the name implies, bald and golden eagles nest in the area.
