Situated in attractive grounds with a very good restaurant providing excellent breakfast and evening meals, the latter at a reasonable price. Room spacious and bed very comfortable. Staff generally very helpful.

Attended a wedding at the Blacksmith Shop which was only 5 minutes walk away. Staff were lovely and didn't mind that we brought our own wedding cupcakes into the bar. They were all very helpful and accommodating. The bar food was great. Tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. All the things you would expect from a cooked breakfast and replaced very quickly when they were running out.
Room was good size, twin beds and 2 armchairs and still room to walk around. Bathroom was a decent size.
Previous reviewers say it looks a bit tired but I'd say it is just a little old fashioned in some areas but that adds to the charm of this lovely hotel.
Very close to main road which you can hear outside the hotel but we didn't notice the road noise inside the hotel.
we were at a wedding and stayed at this hotel, the only thing that i could fault was the reception was in a markey it was alright to start with but as it got later it was so cold as the doors are open all the time, was glad to go back down to the hotel to get warm otherwise it was lovely

Just had a one night stay here with my 3 young children.
The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was very modern. Although the room was on the small side we didn't spend much time there other than sleeping so it wasn't really a problem.
I went for breakfast with the children and the staff went out of their way to make it easier for myself, including one member of stafff taking my eldest daughter to choose her breakfast whilst I fed my youngest.
Overall I was extremely impressed with the hotel.
Have stayed before . Great prices . Some of the hotel is a little dated and tired, but overall a lovely place to stay with fantastic staff who go the extra mile ,and the dinner is excellent ,with a large pleasing menu . Will definately go back

Set in the middle of the 'sleepy town' of Langholm, this hotel has been recently refurbished, and you can see that the owners have made a special effort. The bedrooms are a good size, and well appointed, and very comfortable. The food is excellent, and staff are very friendly. The breakfast is made to order, and is also excellent, and piping hot!!
