"Very cool. Gallery and Hotel all in one. "
We had a great time and the staff were super cool. Loved the art everywhere and the room was very clean and cozy. Only Faux Pas was the morning coffee cart in our lounge area was pretty much empty by 8 am and the 2 half coffees we squeezed out were ruined by solid curds of cream. :( Everything else was really fun.
Traveller from we will be back coffee experience not withstanding

"Very compact, but excellent location"
I stayed in one of the rooms with a double-sized bed (only 2 rooms have Queen-sized beds). I've stayed in smaller rooms in Europe, but not much smaller. This had maybe 2.5 ft of space around the bed, so no yoga before you shop. The hotel is only about 2 years old, so it had modern furnishings. The shower, though also compact, had nice temperature temperature controls, and hot water was plentiful (you have to press a small button on the control to go past the safety stop). The toilet is separated from the room by a large sliding door, which likely won't stop noises if you are sharing the room. So play music in the supplied clock radio with auxiliary input. It also has a very nice wide-screen tv *above* the bed, that swings down when you turn on the power on the remote. It has all the channels of basic cable (60 or so), but I didn't notice a movies option (I never use it so I didn't look, to be honest — you're in downtown Toronto, you should be out exploring!). The bed, despite being just a double, was comfortable and seemed long enough for my 5'11" frame, but I wasn't sharing. There was a nice duvet, and the air conditioning was quiet enough to run while sleeping. The front desk is manned 24/7 by very friendly people who ensured I had everything I needed. You have to ask for an ironing board/iron or ice. The downstairs bar/restaurant has a great breakfast, included with room. The rooftop lounge is nice, with a nice street view.

"hotel close to down town, still under renovation"
From out side it looks like a home in China town. It's near China town. Still under going remodeling. No phone in side the room. But rooms are clean and spacious, and internet was good, no elevator. The hotel entrance is from the backside of the building. If you go by street number there is no hotel. The office is 2 doors next, but the office people are nice, it looks like family run business. If you don't find any hotel near the convention center you can stay in it. Conveniently located on the street cars route.

"Pleasant surprise"
This was a bit of a risk. I know the area, which can be a bit iffy. What a nice surprise though. The room and the overall state of the hotel was very good. Very comfortable, nicely upgraded and a good deal for sure. Only complaint was the front desk person who was consistently overflowing with attitude and clearly hated his job. Unfortunately, we weren't really exposed to anyone else, because the 3 or 4 times we went by the desk, he was there. Don't let that put you off; everything else exceeded our expectations.

Toronto’s culturally diverse downtown includes the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Air Canada Centre is home to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Rogers Centre features the Blue Jays. Toronto’s underground city is a great way to get around the downtown core when the temperature drops. Known as the PATH, it is also the world’s largest subterranean shopping center.
