"Le Tour from the front door of the Royal Cambridge"
It was by chance I found the hotel as soon as the route was announced. The staff had made the day a real occasion with Le Tour jersey bunting and breakfast outside on the morning. It was perfect for my 11 year old son and I. The staff were happy for me to leave my car in the car park after checking out. It was an all round memorable couple of days. It is walking distance from the beautiful heart of Cambridge so perfect year round.
Previous internet/wi-fi problems have been upgraded and we had no problem getting on-line. Red Lion Pub next door has great food and outdoor seating. I didn't have any noise problem from highway or train station. pleasant stay!
this is a great way to visit the Cambridge area when you are driving and need two hotel rooms. The relative value is excellent compared to anywhere in England. This is a clean basic standard hotel beside the highway. No surprises is a very good surprise. very well done

Staff thorough in explaining all that we needed to know. Ground floor room with all facilities needed by us, although tea and coffee were not permitted in the room. All food and drink was to be consumed in dining room.

I thought the Regency was as good as one could imagine for a guesthouse with shared bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean, with fresh white duvet covers and good thick towels. The bathroom was also very clean with a good shower, and with just three rooms per floor it never felt an imposition to have shared facilities. The breakfast, though a cold spread, was fresher and nicer than most guesthouses with stodgy hot fare, good quality ham and cheese, good juice and decent coffee, range of cereals good bread etc. The owners were helpful in looking for directions and arranging a taxi for me and taking care of my bag for the day when I needed to check in early. All in all a good experience.

Booked the room with four poster bed for an overnight stay as we were attending a gig at the nearby Junction. You can walk into town in 20 - 30 minutes from this guest house but it is also on bus routes.
Our room was perfectly comfortable, clean and tidy with tea & coffee and toiletries. Perhaps if you are picky you could say some things could do with refreshing. If you are staying in this room and you are a light sleeper, consider taking some earplugs because it faces a busy main road. I am a light sleeper and earplugs meant I slept pretty well.
Breakfast was a lovely cooked breakfast (veggie in our case) with plenty of toast, tea & coffee. The breakfast room had an elegant charm about it, I felt very comfortable in there with gentle music playing.
I would certainly consider staying here again with my husband as the price for the room with breakfast was reasonable for Cambridge especially so close to town and The Junction.
Advice on parking: contact the guest house in advance to ask about it. We didn't so I am not sure what the deal is. We ended up parking in a nearby (very nearby) road. Car was fine there overnight but we got there early...can't say for sure we would have been so lucky in finding a space so close if we had turned up much later.
I don't know if the lady who looked after us in the morning is the owner but she was lovely. Thanks for a comfortable stay.

My two friends and I had a great time at this B&B. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice, clean, and put together the B&B was. The beds were super comfortable and I slept very well. The couple that runs the place was absolutely adorable and cooked up the most delicious breakfast the next morning. The woman was so kind and attentive and was very willing to help us in any way we needed. I would recommend this B&B whole heartedly.
