We had a lovely stay at 5 Chapel Street. A convenient and quiet location with a pleasant 25 minute walk along the river into town. We were welcomed with freshly baked scones for cream tea, and were treated to delicious homemade biscuits each evening. The room was comfortable and spacious with quality tea and coffee available. The breakfast was fantastic; I had fresh fruit salad and homemade granola followed by home baked bread while my husband had a full English breakfast. Being a small family business the service is a little quirky but genuine and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Looking through the other reviews I was beginning to think that we stayed at a different hotel - with the very contrasting reviews! I can only say that our short stay was absolutely excellent - fabulous room and bathroom - spotlessly clean - and staff very attentive and helpful. We left after a hearty and well cooked and presented breakfast and we would give the hotel 11 out of 10 !!! We would certainly stay there again.

Room was tidy and in good order, was shown the kitchen and en-suite room by the host. Though the room was facing a busy road, the room was peaceful. Breakfast the following day was a selection of food prepared for as requested the previous day - highly appreciated.
