The Adige River snakes through the Veronese Plain, which covers almost half of the Verona Province with fertile fields of rice, fruit, and vegetables. Next to the river sits Legnago, home to the Fioroni Museum and the Saltier Theatre, named for the famous composer. In Isola della Scala visitors can attend the annual Rice Fair and tour the Torre Scaliger, one of the region's Scaliger fortifications.
