Out of the noise and crowds of pushkar - around 6 kms out. Beautiful gardens. Rooms and restaurant cold even with small heaters. Room not to clean. Sheets and blankets soiled. Bathroom not cleaned to my expectation. I had a fantastic massage and facial at the spa.
The General Manager was exceptionally attentive to make sure that the staff took very good care of us. Prior notice that the restaurant would be closed for a private party would have been helpful, but room service was excellent. The restaurant on the roof was exceptionally pleasant in the evenings, and a good value.
After staying at an equivalent star hotel for a lesser room rate in Jodhpur, this hotel was somewhat a disappointment. Overall the hotel is acceptable, however it's internal decor [especially the rooms] really look like they need a serious upgrade sooner rather than later, including basics such as bathroom plumbing.

I booked the (executive) room through Expedia. Upon arrival, it took more than half hour to get registered. This was the only drawback I felt with my stay. Other than this, it was quite a pleasant stay, very polite and courteous staff who are waiting to offer help with everything. Room condition was decent. The hotel arranged car for my Pushkar visit and ride back to Jaipur airport. Although the rate was a little steep, I felt safe with the accomodating staff and driver. The hotel has veg and nonveg restaurant/dining facility inside the hotel (7 AM to 11 PM) and food prices were reasonable. The Darga Sherif is a good 1 km walk. This hotel is one of the reasons in making my Ajmer stay (3 days) enjoyable. I commend the hotel staff for walking an extra mile for making me feel comfortable.
We had a lovely one night stay at Orchard. It was a welcome relief from the frenzied shopping bazaars of Pushkar. My favorite memory of Orchard is listening to the local women teaching their young children ancient songs as they worked in the gardens. the staff were very attentive and the tent had everything needed, including plenty of blankets for the chilly Rajasthan winter nights. We very much appreciated the rides to town (going and coming back).
A decent 3 or 3plus star hotel, though in local context it could at a stretch be termed 4 star. We visted over the last we days of the Pushkar fair in end November 2012, and were surprised to find the hotel quite empty. The rooms were big, and the place was reasonably good, barring initial plumbing problems. The staff were very helpful and gave us another room to shower, so the plumbing issues were attended to. The hotel food (breakfast & dinner) was very acceptable.....quite essential given that the town is a few kilometers away and does not offer much in terms of food choice or clean places to eat. The hotel has large well kep lawns, and is surrounded by agricultural land, so it provides a nive rurual setting. Private transportation/car is essential as it is not a walking distance to Pushkar town.
Overall, we found it to be excellent value for money, and would reccommend the Satyam Palace.
