"Nice, cheap hotel in Shinjuku "
The price was unbeatable for a quality hotel like this one. The two downsides were that the room was quite small and the hotel was a little difficult to find initially. However, the room was very clean and fairly comfortable.

"Nice location for the price"
It was easy to get to all the major areas of Tokyo. Friendly staff and overall experience. Only negatives were small shower(might be Japanese style size) and walls could be thicker. Other than that it was great.

"Good budget hotel close to Tokyo station"
Good, functional, reasonably priced hotel. Clean room with the facilities you need for a brief stay, especially if you're just planning to crash for the night. No catering but some rooms have kitchenettes. Brings back memories of a student hall of residence but I've stayed in far, far worse places. Staff were excellent - very helpful and even let us store a large bag for a few days while we traveled outside Tokyo, which they then had waiting in the room on our return.

"Nice hotel, good location."
Stayed 2 nights (night of arrival in Japan and following night, mid-July, 2015) before moving on to Kyoto. Check-in was fast and smooth (perhaps made more so because we had pre-paid on-line) with staff that understood English. Wife and I were traveling with 2 teenage daughters, so we had to get 2 rooms (we found it nearly impossible to get a room for 4 people in Japan). The rooms were clean and modern. On this and a previous trip to Japan, I found the mattresses to be very firm (to my liking). The free WiFi worked well. Portable hotspots can be rented at the front desk for ~500 yen/day (100MB). In the lobby, there was free coffee and free sundries in case you forgot something. The hotel is within steps of an entry for the Daimon subway, and about 10 min walk to Hamamatsucho train station and bus terminal, the latter of which is where tours of the Sunrise Tour company departed (we took the one-day tour to Fuji/Hakone). There are numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance. The area is heavily trafficked by the white-shirted "salary men" on their way to and from work. Overall, a good experience. We selected the hotel based on proximity to the Hamamatsucho station/bus terminal. If planning on spending more time in Tokyo and seeing other sites, perhaps other hotels may be more convenient; but again proximity to the train station was fine.

"Small but efficient, clean, and modern"
Staying here felt a tad impersonal - not the usual solicitous staff as one would expect from a Japanese hotel, but it's skewed to those who can be more self-sufficient, with check-in/out kiosks, vending machines, and room supplies on each floor. So you don't really need the staff anyway.

"Nice but it looks like homestay more than hotel"
At night a lot of public relations officers walking on the street. I just stayed there for one night but would recommend you go for another hotel if you have choices.

"Close to Ueno Station"
I chose this hotel because it was close to UENO station but not too expensive, and we had a very early start the next morning catching the shinkansen. I would not recommend this hotel for a prolonged stay; the room was very small, but adequate for our needs as we only used it as a stopping off point for one night. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is private and quiet; it is on the opposite side of the tracks to UENO park and the markets at Ameyoko.
