"Convenient location"
Nice hotel with good breakfast. Convenient shuttle bus to Shinjuku station, however it doesn't run between 11 & 3. Twin room was spacious compared to other hotels.

"For a little break after a long day"
My stay at the hotel was pleasant and relaxing. I mostly wanted a place to recharge after a day of exploring the city and it fitted the needs. Very close to a subway station that is two stations from Shinjuku, it made all locations easily accessible.Yet, no overwhelming sound of the city. I would go back for another stay in Tokyo.

"It served my need."
It is a leisure time why stay in business hotel? We were not hurry , things went easy , woke up late and walked a stone throwing to the cafe for some fresh pancakes? Yes, I mean that.

"Excellent choice"
The rooms here are not big and not luxurious, but the location is excellent and it's good value for money. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tateshina. Yes, the rooms are small and the quirky bathroom feels like you are in a campervan but who cares? I came to see Tokyo not spend thousands of dollars on a hotel and sit in the room admiring its amenities. The people at the front desk are friendly, it's clean, quiet yet close to Kabukicho and Shinjuku station. Definately reccommend.

"Great location, close to tokyo."
Location was brilliant with access to Odaiba bay via boat (has the only artificially made beach in Tokyo) and only beach within reasonable traveling time from Tokyo. One of the Cheapest areas within a close proximity to Tokyo. Just up the road was the oldest temple in Japan. Asakusa temple also had one of the larger markets with traditional goods as well as tourist souvenirs. The Asakusa station is easy to use and can get into central Tokyo within 5 mins or if you want a night out can get to Ropponghi, Shinjuku and Shibuya via the station just down the road from the hotel.

"Stay in Tokyo"
My family is satisfied with the hotel - simple and no-fuss. The hotel is located next to 2 subway stations which are very convenient for my family. Foodwise and with the vending machines around nearly every corners, my family is well satisfied.

"A nice business hotel"
The place is a bit of a walk from Ueno JR station, but it is also a lot nicer than a lot of the places closer to the station. It is very close to the Inaricho metro stop on the Ginza line, so if you are going to Asakusa, it is a very nice location. The rooms, while small, are well-sized by Japanese standards. And the staff are excellent.

"Nice and clean but a little small and far"
The hotel was nice, and the staff was very friendly. Several of the staff spoke excellent english. The hotel had inexpensive coin laundary, though the dryer (like most Japanese dryers) took forever for relatively small loads. The room was very well apportioned, but also very small. There was almost no floor space, which made my morning yoga more challenging than expected. But the bed was nice and large, and the bathroom was pleasant to use. Ueno station was close, but only the north-most gate, which is relatively far from the metro but reasonably close to JR. It was a good 10-15 minute walk to Ginza line, and a little farther to Hibiya. There was both a Sunkus and Family mart within a 5 minute walk. There were also several bars and restaurants nearby, though I didn't try any of them so I can't attest to their quality.

"The listed room size is inaccurate"
The rooms are listed as being for two people, but there's no way two people can fit comfortably in one of these rooms. (As far as I can tell all of the rooms are the same size.)
