We chose Hotel Navona for a 2-day pre-cruise stay in September 2014. The hotel is a stone's throw from Piazza Navona and not too far walking distance from other sites. Our room had 3 single beds and it had plenty of room for us and all our luggage. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our cab driver on the day we left for the cruise port could not reach the hotel due to road construction and closures. With the help of the driver and a member of the hotel staff we were able to take our luggage to where the cab was parked. We had breakfast once (it is not included in the price unless you get a deal - 10 Euros each) which consisted of cereal, breads, yogurt, coffee, tea. There is no elevator at the hotel but the hotel staff will help you with your luggage. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Navona again.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights in Rome trying to get close to everything but the cheapest. Not expecting very much just a place to sleep for a few hours, the hotel itself just a hop from the train station so very convenient , a little hard to find but none the less we found it and and were very surprised. Upon checking in before the lady wanted to see anything, she asked us if we would like a coffee, water juice pop anything. Once we were comfortable she checked us in letting us know about breakfast how they will accommodate us whenever we require to eat. Out room was huge, tall ceilings and window out the main street. Everything was very clean and worked. Nothing fancy, just clean and comfortable and a 5 min walk from the Colosseum. The breakfast was small but great coffee tea juice cereal and package sweets, enough to get you going for the day. It was really the staff that was so wonderful and friendly and for the price everything was perfect! I would defiantly recommend if your looking for a good cheap location to enjoy your time in Rome!
We had one day and night in Rome prior to flying home from a two week vacation in Florence. I found Babuino 181 on Expedia and chose it based on its location, size and interior design. It exceeded all expectations. Our only regret was only having one night there. We will be back!

Great location, very close to the colloseum. Fresh pastries and coffee for breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room always cleaned and well maintained. Quiet small but better than expected for the price in the location
We stayed two nights and were very happy with the accommodations and the price was excellent. The breakfast was great and the sheets were white, crisp and very nice. Would recommend. Only complaint is the stairs if you have a problem as I do. First flight is equivalent to 2 in most US homes and then there was one more up to the room.

we opted for the sahred bathroom option. everything exceeded our expectation. Thank you Rudolph for being a fantastic host. only critisim would be the cig. smoke in the building which is a little off putting.but that does not affect the room or reception.
the shared bathroom was tiny for me i could barely fit in it being an avg size male, but everything was very clean.
Rudolph hoepfully you received our thank you note :)

It was my first real holiday with my girlfriend. We looked for somewhere not too expensive but still in a good location in Rome. The hotel owners were a lovely couple who, although didn't speak English, made us feel very welcome and offered us a bottle of water as we arrived. We were also provided with a map of Rome and a few highlights were pointed out to us. The hotel is in a fantastic location and only a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station, which we found very useful, 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and Roma Termini - the main train station. The room itself was rather basic with a TV, but we couldn't quibble as we spent very little time in there. Breakfast was served between 8-9.30am everyday and was a lovely spread.
If I was ever heading back to Rome I would definitely stay here again.
