2 star Port Wentworth, Savannah Choice Hotels

This quaint town is located along the Savannah River. The Stand Up for America festival began in 1971 and draws large crowds to the town every April. Just north, the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive winds four miles through the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge where alligators are often spotted in the surrounding marshlands, along with bald eagles and other birds.
