I was staying in Munich for four nights with my five year old son and booked this hotel. I've been to Munich before so I knew the location was convenient to the main railway station which was a big plus for me. We arrived and were greeted by helpful polite desk staff who made sure we had everything we needed and knew everything we needed to know. The room was clean and the hotel also ran a scheme you could hang a sign on the door to opt out of room cleaning in exchange for a voucher to spend in the bar, restaurant or reception kiosk to help the environment. I was happy with this as I am keen on environmental issues and also don't think the rooms necessarily need cleaning daily! Admittedly the room was small but it was big enough for us, and we weren't in there that much as we were sightseeing or going out for the day.
I was expecting something less than mediocre from the reviews but chose this hotel because it was available (!) and close to the october fest. But I was pleasently surpriced. My room at the 7.th floor faced the october fest and I had a great view from the small balcony. The room itself was quite spacious - very big actually compared to most single rooms I've stayed at. It was simple and clean, but comfortable with the tv (german channels) and little kitchenette. Bed was deacent, staff was very nice. And the location was unbeatable: Rigth across the metro, and 300 m to octoberfest! (but still the noise didn't keep me up at night - it was very quiet). Thank you for a great stay - and for the little welcomegift!
We stayed in the Jedermann at the end of a week-long tour of Germany that ended in Munich. Jedermann was by far the best hotel we stayed in. It's got the charm of an old-time European hotel with modern amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Like every German hotel I've stayed in, there's no air conditioning but the windows open all the way. A nice perk was that while the windows were open, we could hear the choir of a nearby church practicing.
Breakfast was typical German fare, but the staff was again helpful, with the waitresses taking good care of getting us drinks and clearing dishes.

Budget hotel. Excellent location 5 minute walk from Central Station on a very clean road. Wonderful breakfast. Airport bus 5 minutes walk. On 24th December 2012, most hotels were closed. My luck this hotel was open.
This was the second time we stayed at Motel One Munich East. The location is central to get into the centre of the city. Apart from having no tea and coffee making facility the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel is on a main road with direct tram line to the city, I got a room at the rear of the building on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet no problems sleeping. Single room was larger than most I have stayed at in Germany, bed was a bit low down but comfortable, good shower. I did not try the food so cannot comment on it.
Around 20 minutes by S Bahn to Marienplatz.
Hotel is next to the bus stop but they are not frequent and finish at 8pm ish.
It is an easy 20 minute walk to hotel from S Bahn.
A very good breakfast and the bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept on.
I stay in hotels on a weekly basis and wish the standard in the UK was as high for the price.
We stayed three nights. There were three people in our group. We had our own room and private bath. The room didn't have air conditioning but we were getting used to that being the norm in Germany. Saturday night, at 10:45, the group from the large room below us was drunk and getting pretty loud with their yelling. They appeared to be outside in the parking lot below our window. I went down to the front desk and complained. He told me that the hotel had a quiet rule after 10:00. He them went upstairs to a room at the end of the hall. When he came back out, he said he had taken care of the situation. The noise continued for a bit and again, I went to the front desk at 11:00, but unfortunately, the desk was closed for the night. The noise eventually quieted down and we were able to go to sleep around 11:30. Overall, we were fine with our room.
