We went through a lot of frustration trying to get a phone at Miami airport to get in touch with Fairfield Inn for pick up. Two people at Miami airport who we approached to phone for us ( told them we wanted to pay for the service ) refused. Tel. machine only accepted coins. We finally got coins to have them eaten up by tel. machine. Information of tel. company was useless. We finally paid $26.- to Supershuttle to take us to the hotel ( almost walking distance away ). Arrived at hotel and were welcomed by Marla at the desk who did her best to get us calmed down and had our room cleaned up as soon as possible. She phoned us later to say that she had mentioned our "adventures" to Milton the manager. He decided then to give us a voucher for $ 15.- to be used on food. We were very happy surprised not expecting this. Kudo's to Marla who went the extra mile! We will definitely come back.

The hotel is located very close to 2 Metromover stations. I did not need a car to move myself and my wife all around Miami. The two stations are Knight Center Station and the Riverwalk Station.
I took the Metrorail (bought a 7 day pass for my 6 day stay) to the Government Center Station and transferred to the Metromover to the Knight Center Station. From there it is about 100 yds. to the Hotel. I was able to go to Bayside, Little Havana, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables from the Hotel using the public transportation.
There are some shops close to the Hotel that are within walking distance such as Macy's, Marshalls, Walgreens, CVS and many restaurants and small shops. Most of them close early; around 6 pm but there are plenty that stay open until late.
We only stayed one night after a cruise before getting on Amtrac in the morning. Hot breakfast was wonderful with a good selection. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh fruit was available in the lobby 24/7. Staff was extremely helpful. Will definately stay here again before and after cruising.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The price was great, the hotel was clean, The beds were comfortable and best of all it was close to EVERYTHING, restaurants, nightlife, shopping & the beach. All within walking distance! I am very happy I choose this hotel!!
Everything was great top to bottom. I was able to check in an hour early... My room was nice and clean.. And I was right across from the beach!!! I enjoyed my stay and definitely will be back!!! They even offer packages and activities at low prices... Try them out. The reviews I saw were definitely wrong.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, it's silent and calm, but it is still in the downtown, so it is easy to reach different popular places from there. It's clean and neat. We loved the interior of the room, however, the wifi was something that bothered us a lot, as it did not work very well.
