We wanted to go to NYC for a long weekend without the big expense of a NYC hotel. Hotel staff was extremely helpful, our room was comfortable and clean. There is a shuttle that stops right outside the hotel every 10 to 15 minutes and takes you to Times Square for a mere $3.00 per person. Then when you're done exploring the city you get back on the shuttle and it returns you to the top of the hill and it's just a short walk down to the hotel. We felt safe walking the short distance to the hotel and were never uncomfortable in our surroundings.
We had a wonderful stay at Candlewood. Our room overlooked the NYC skyline and the Harbor. It felt like we were staying at a home away from home. We had a full kitchen, which was helpful for a quick breakfast before we headed to the city or to heat up a late night snack upon returning.
The hotel offers a courtesy shuttle to the 'path' train, however it is no more then a ten minute walk and then appox 10-15 mins on the path to the city.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful with any questions we had.
We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to save some money and enjoy some quiet while still being quite close to the hustle and bustle of the city.
The staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were cleaned perfectly. They had a small sitting room attached which came in handy. And the bus to catch for NYC was right across the street. We all agreed we would stay there again. The continental breakfast choices were excellent.
The staff was helpful and friendly as well. The hotel itself seems relatively new, the rooms were spacious, the location very convenient for NYC access and free parking really made a difference in choice.
