We were made welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived. Staff quickly arranged cars, taxis and cyclos for us. Our room had a balcony above the busy street (which we liked), and the double glazing and shutters blocked the noise and light so we could sleep very well in our big comfortable bed. There isn't a lift which didn't bother us - the staff moved our bags and we are used to stairs at home. However, some travellers may prefer a quiet back room on a lower floor.
This hotel is great. The staff are very helpful, courteous and caring. It has excellent facilities, is kept very clean and is well maintained. The restaurant serves a very good breakfast catering for all tastes. We stayed here four years ago, and it has improved even since then. It now has a roof garden on the eigth floor, where tasty food (European and Asian) and drinks are served quite late.
A useful and reasonably priced laundry service is available. It feels like staying with family, and we are very impressed with the staff team spirit and their thoughtfulness to the guests. I highly recommend the Duc Vuong hotel for a short or longer stay.
Really a gem of a hotel. Conveniently central location, easy access to everything. The hotel itself is clean, well kept, has all the basics. Room size is considerably larger than expected (be sure to pick the room option with a window, this is important, the extra cost is well worth it), and the bathroom and furnishings were good. TV had great range of channels, air conditioning worked excellently. The included buffet in mornings was great, good variety and changes each day in a comfortable eating area. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely fantastic. Staying somewhere for 3 weeks on your own like I did that really makes all the difference. They went out of their way to ensure my happiness while there, always friendly greetings and very helpful. Thank you Jessica! :p All of this in what I'd consider a very reasonable daily rate. Highly recommended.
We recently spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel was very clean, had a modern shower (with hot water), and a good breakfast. The hotel does offer free wi-fi, but reception is a little spotty in the room and best received in the lobby. The best thing about this hotel was it's location. It is within walking distance to the many sites of Saigon. Our only complaint was the airport transfer as we were greeted by a mother and her toddler. The car itself was not clean and was missing seatbelts. We felt that this was unprofessional. The hotel itself was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Saigon.
