Very unique B&B. Those who are keen about history or Victorian theme, this is the place to be. The B&B can be museum itself with its furnichure and decor. One can experience how people lived in the era.

A marvellously quirky and individual hotel in a great location in sight (at a very slight angle) of the Seafront. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms clean and comfortable, decor flamboyant!! I was originally booked into a single room, there was a slight glitch with the booking and I was smoothly upgraded to a double (Yay!). I was given the "Kinky" room on Floor 4 - pink / purple furnishings, a red stilletto telephone and a bed which converts into a....well, book it and see for yourself ;) If that sounds a little dodgy, other customers were couples and families who seemed as happy and relaxed with it as myself. Only slight problem was that the floorboards in my room (on the fourth floor in a 200 year old Georgian terraced house ) bowed in the middle. Until I figured it out I thought the weird apparent motion of the room was me being drunk or having a dizzy spell. Eventually I figured out what the deal with the floor was and it all added to the charm and character of the place. If you want a hotel that forms a part of your whole Brighton experience, you won't do much better. I'l certainly be back.

I like the security entrance the hotel has. every guest has it's own card to open the hotel door. reception staff are amazing and very helpful ppl. I wish I could stay more than 1 week but unfortunatly it's fully reserved by others.

Very comfortable, a better experience than a more expensive 5 star hotel I recently stayed in. The room for a family of five was excellent and the parking facilities was within a stone's throw. They stored my bicycle in secure storage and the concierge gave us pointers on where to stroll and find local attractions

We stayed for one night in the La Chambre De Louis room. This is a really fun room with wonderful trompe l'oeil-decorated walls, paintings that have clearly been chosen with some thought, faux candle chandeliers and a very cool four-poster with canopy. A really high ceiling gives a great sense of space; the huge balcony windows can be opened (but watch out for the gulls!) and a chaise-longue lets you recline and watch the world go by. And yes, you can even see the sea! We chose this hotel deliberately to avoid the sterile, soulless 'big name' hotels, and we were really pleased we did. We found friendly, helpful staff and a really happy atmosphere. Breakfast included a choice of ham and cheeses, cerials, fruit juices, tea/coffee, toast - the usual continental fare. What more do you want?

"Convenient location, room compact but well fitted."
Parking can be a problem without voucher from guest house. Needed a room for a night to crash down after a party at the Proud Cabaret and it was an ideal location. Breakfast left in room was fine to get the day started but then walked round the corner to the Corner Cafe for a very good brunch.

Amazing! Met with very friendly and personal welcome. Room was extremely comfortable with an immaculate bathroom and lovely views of the garden. Absolutely lovely experience thanks to exceptionally helpful manager and staff, great food and service. Despite being busy with two day's of weddings, nothing was too much trouble and questions were always met with a smile and lots of help from whichever member of the team it happened to be. It was a remarkable and very enjoyable experience and quite unlike any other hotel I've ever stayed in around the world. Ideally located for Battle, Hastings and beyond amid Sussex's glorious countryside. Highly recommend it and will definitely return.
