In Bucharest for one day (morning to evening), we needed the room from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening. Even thought the check in was at 1 pm, they understood and allowed us to have the room much earlier and also we were served the breakfast which was supposed to be for the next day.
The room was very nice and the breakfast delicious.
Thank you everyone at hotel Banat and we would definetely recommend this hotel to all our friends that will go to Bucharest!

Had a great experience. The price was good and although my room was small it was more than enough for me. I moved from another hotel in the Gara de Nord area that was not nearly as nice, or friendly. Everything worked at Hello hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I booked into this hotel for 10 nights whilst I was in Bucharest on business. I checked in early which was a good sign and paid in Euros as the price was €300. I'm given a box to sleep in, very tiny indeed. I didn't have time to say anything as I had meetings. Anyway, back to hotel late and I'm tired, I get 3 bottles of water and the receptionist had a seriously bad attitude as if it was more trouble than it worth for him to take my money. Morning after i'm told they don't take Euros and I have to pay in Lei. OK give me my €300 back and i'll get it changed, that took a lot of convincing. Back at night the miserable receptionist is on duty and shout at the top of his voice as soon as I walk in "You haven't paid your bill" Totally amazed how rude the staff are here. Day after I ask for a room upgrade 25 lei a night, I say ok i'll do it in the morning, morning after price went upto 135 lei a night I said forget it.
Overall this has to be one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, the staff are so miserable and so angry all the time.

I chose this hotel since it was close to where our meeting place was. It's fine, but not very picturesque surroundings, but not too far out of the centre. The rooms were fine, internet is fast. Payment not accepted in Euros cash, only Lei or by card.

"Use it only if you need to have a place to sleep in Bucharest!"
The hotel is good if you want to just have a place to sleep. First of all, it's a two star hotel, not three star, like stated on Expedia. The room is very basic. The bathroom needs some repairs to take away the rust from the shower cabin and to fix the leak that happens every time you take a shower.
In our room the window was very little and very high, so the room was very dark.
The cleaning ladies are very noisy. They keep talking to each other on the hallways, which have an awful echo. You must be very tired to be able to sleep after 09.00 am, when they come around. They don't clean your room unless you ask them to and you leave them your key. They don't change your sheets or towels, they just fix them and take away your trash.
Breakfast is made of some items put together on a plate and served to you with coffee by a nice lady. Don't hope for breakfast buffet, it's not the case! The stuff speaks very basic English.
The hotel is very well located in the Militari neighbourhood of Bucharest, very close to the bus and subway stops. There is a huge Cora supermarket nearby and one of the big Bucharest malls 10 minutes away.
You get charged at the beginning of your stay. There are always random people in the lobby, just hanging out in there. In one of the evenings one lady was doing the manicure of a policeman in the lobby, which is quite an odd image to come upon in your hotel lobby.
Overall, the hotel is better than a hostel and alright for a two star hotel.

The hotel was small but in good condition and the staff was nice and helpful. But there is nothing in the neighborhood and the hotel is hard to reach on public transportation unless you call before and ask them. Instructions on how to reach the hotel are not given in the description.

The Hotel is very close to Gara De Nord station. Walking distance. It is basic hotel but is very clean and pleasant. The staff member was very helpful. I forgot her name. Anything that I require, was provided with smile. The area seemed run down but don't let it make you feel down as round the corner everything is ok. I liked the Piata Matache and its market. Great nice little place to look around and buy fresh fruit and vegetables for your hotel stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. Only suggestion is that the duvet should be of king size as the one provided would be good for a child, not for the adult. The receptionist gave me very nice room, so multumesc (thanks) to her. Its location almost next to Gara is advantageous for metro, buses, coaches and taxis.
