With views directly onto the canal, friendly service and a lovely room this was a lovely overnight stay. The room was small but well arranged and managed not to feel cramped, and the view was choice. Excellent.
Excellent location, within easy walking distance of everything and in a quieter part of Brugge.
Parking just across from hotel so very easy to walk to hotel with luggage.
Brugge is a lovely place to visit. will go back again.
We stayed in one of three rooms just off the street, it was a perfect base for exploring the city and easy to find - just look and listen for the Belfort. It was lovely at night to fall asleep to the sounds of people in the street and to wake in the morning to the sound of the bells.

We booked this hotel as a base for a two day visit to Bruges. It turned out to be absolutely perfect. We arrived in Belgium on the overnight ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge and the hotel is within 10 minutes walk from the bus stop where the P&O shuttle bus drops you off.
We arrived at the hotel way too early on the understanding that we'd drop our bags off and then explore and check in properly later in the day, but when we arrived we were offered another room that was ready and not booked for that night, which turned out to be a bigger room and for no extra cost. That was something totally unexpected and something they didn't have to do, which is evidence that they couldn't be any more accommodating to their guests.
The location of the hotel was also perfect, its on a very quiet side street with absolutely no noise at night but within 5 minutes walk of the main market square for all the main attractions.
The room and hotel in general where extremely clean, fresh and modern. Very comfortable beds and the ensuite bathroom was superb.
We were expecting a decent experience from reading the reviews before booking but our expectations were exceeded by a long margin. The staff couldn't have done enough for us and offered lots of advice about Bruges itself and the extra mile they went with the room as described above just reaffirms that.
We would happily stay there again and recommend it to anybody. We were that pleased, I doubt we'd consider staying any where else in the future.

Normally, we go for the convenience of a mid-range hotel chain simply because you know what to expect from such places and it's some years since we opted for a family run hotel. Our recent stay at the Hotel Wilgenhof surpassed all expectations. This was a high quality experience of the five star variety! The hosts are friendly, charming and unobtrusive in their approach and they provide an environment and quality of service very rarely found in corporate establishments. And, as other guests have remarked, the breakfast is quite superb!

What a lovely, friendly, comfortable, clean hotel, in a good location - I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel is small but our room was large enough for our needs, the decor and furnishings very nice, with a small patio/garden outside our french window. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The help-yourself breakfast buffet was part of the room rate and every morning we ate plenty of fresh bread, ham and cheese. The hotel was perfectly located to explore Bruges, and the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in Bruges.
