"Nice hotel close to the beach"
Very comfortable, a better experience than a more expensive 5 star hotel I recently stayed in. The room for a family of five was excellent and the parking facilities was within a stone's throw. They stored my bicycle in secure storage and the concierge gave us pointers on where to stroll and find local attractions

"The Full Brighton Experience!"
A marvellously quirky and individual hotel in a great location in sight (at a very slight angle) of the Seafront. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms clean and comfortable, decor flamboyant!! I was originally booked into a single room, there was a slight glitch with the booking and I was smoothly upgraded to a double (Yay!). I was given the "Kinky" room on Floor 4 - pink / purple furnishings, a red stilletto telephone and a bed which converts into a....well, book it and see for yourself ;) If that sounds a little dodgy, other customers were couples and families who seemed as happy and relaxed with it as myself. Only slight problem was that the floorboards in my room (on the fourth floor in a 200 year old Georgian terraced house ) bowed in the middle. Until I figured it out I thought the weird apparent motion of the room was me being drunk or having a dizzy spell. Eventually I figured out what the deal with the floor was and it all added to the charm and character of the place. If you want a hotel that forms a part of your whole Brighton experience, you won't do much better. I'l certainly be back.

"Convenient location, room compact but well fitted."
Parking can be a problem without voucher from guest house. Needed a room for a night to crash down after a party at the Proud Cabaret and it was an ideal location. Breakfast left in room was fine to get the day started but then walked round the corner to the Corner Cafe for a very good brunch.

"Great for mini breaks"
very comfortable and central but still out of the way of the main part of Brighton. We agree that it is good value for money and that's we would be happy to stay again and also recommend to family, friends and colleagues.

"Great for a cheap weekend!!!"
I stayed here in June and it was perfect for what I needed! Room was very clean and only 2 single beds so didn't end up sharing with anyone. Tea/Coffee facilities and a lovely view of Brighton Pier!! Price was great for BB even though I didn't have breakfast (out clubbing til all hours so perfect location too!) I had the opposite problem where the boiler broke down so no hot water the whole weekend but at least I had a kettle to fill the bath up with :) Got one night refunded for the hassle, better than a kick in the teeth I say :) I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want something cheap and cheerful and already have to a number of friends! I am even going back in August! Sports bar had a great atmosphere and they even offered to put the telly on at 6am so I could watch my All Blacks play! Over all I had a great time in Brighton and felt like I was staying at a mates. Looking forward to going back!

"Great location friendly staff and cheap!"
For the price I was very impressed with the room and helpful staff. This hotel is not perfect, it's not 5 star but if your looking for a nice homely and friendly hotel with a great location then this is the hotel for you. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean. Definitely recommended! :) oh and the new resurant has great food too

"King and Queen for a Day"
We stayed for one night in the La Chambre De Louis room. This is a really fun room with wonderful trompe l'oeil-decorated walls, paintings that have clearly been chosen with some thought, faux candle chandeliers and a very cool four-poster with canopy. A really high ceiling gives a great sense of space; the huge balcony windows can be opened (but watch out for the gulls!) and a chaise-longue lets you recline and watch the world go by. And yes, you can even see the sea! We chose this hotel deliberately to avoid the sterile, soulless 'big name' hotels, and we were really pleased we did. We found friendly, helpful staff and a really happy atmosphere. Breakfast included a choice of ham and cheeses, cerials, fruit juices, tea/coffee, toast - the usual continental fare. What more do you want?

On the south English coast, Brighton is a popular beach destination, especially with Londoners as the train ride between the two cities is less than an hour. The seafront has bars, restaurants, nightclub,s and amusement arcades, as well as two old-fashioned piers. Brighton hosts the Brighton Festival each May, which is the UK's second-largest arts festival.
