The guesthouse was a good deal, as it was in a really good location, at the heart of it all, and not too expensive. Great if you are traveling on a budget and not too concerned about luxury. Room was clean, as were the common areas, with a contemporary, modern interior design.

"I LOVED the Pavi Guesthouse and recommend it with flying colors!"
My stay at the Pavi Guesthouse was so much better than I expected.
The cost for the room was extremely reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. My room had two beds, a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, dishes, utensils, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff was courteous and helpful in suggesting places to see during my visit. The breakfast, included in my room cost, was awesome and available for two hours every morning. And, the guesthouse was conveniently located near the bus terminal and many sights of the city. There was a quaint food store nearby where I purchased food and cooked it in the kitchen, saving costs on eating out, which tends to be expensive in Iceland.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will stay there again when I return to Iceland. THANK YOU Pavi Guesthouse for helping to make my visit so enjoyable and appreciated. I LOVED being there.

I had a flight come in after 1 a.m. and the shuttle pick up was not a problem at that hour, nor was the check in. They are open 24 hours. The cabin was lovely too, with warm separate shower, and comfortable bed. Practical desk and small kitchenette. Only grudge is the few exchnage fees incurred with booking. Wifi isn't available in the cabins but the main lobby/lounge and breakfast are close by and not a hassle.
The hotel was much like a well kept hostel. It was very convenient for me because I wasn't looking for anything but a bed and shower. It was very clean. I was backpacking, so I was walking everywhere. Shopping, and restaurants are very close by. The front reception has a ton of tour pamphlets for your different interests. A continental breakfast is served until 9:30 in the morning. The only issue I had during my stay is the caretaker/owner is not very friendly, otherwise, just ignore him [he admits he is a grumpy old man] and enjoy your stay. Its a great deal.
