Overlooking a sheltered bay where sailing boats put down anchor at night, Ornos lies three kilometres from Mikonos Town (connected by regular buses). The well-equipped sandy beach has a Blue Flag for cleanliness, and is backed by hotels, apartments and shops. Taxi boats shuttle bathers to other south coast beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise. Daily excursion boats run to the island of Delos, home to an archaeological site.
